Water industry exhibition towards sustainable development

Many big names in the field of environmental technology were present at the international exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, to introduce the latest solutions in water filtration, water supply and drainage and wastewater treatment, towards sustainable development.

On November 6, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), the Exhibition on Water Supply and Sewerage Industry, Water Purification and Wastewater Treatment Technology in Vietnam (Vietwater 2024) and the Exhibition on Waste Treatment and Environmental Technology in Vietnam (WETV 2024) took place, organized by Informa Markets Vietnam Company.

The exhibition brings together more than 450 businesses from more than 25 countries and territories at home and abroad such as Germany, Taiwan (China), Korea, Japan, Singapore, Türkiye, Switzerland, China, Italy...

Speaking at the event, Mr. Huynh Minh Nhat, Chairman of the Vietnam Urban Environment and Industrial Zone Association, assessed the event as an opportunity to help water industry enterprises update new technologies, the most advanced equipment, modern models and technologies.

At the same time, Mr. Nhat emphasized that the exhibition brings many green and clean technologies in treating and recycling wastewater and waste.

Mr. Nhat hopes that Vietwater 2024 will be an important stepping stone for Vietnamese enterprises to access modern treatment models and technologies, contributing to environmental protection for a green Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Van Nga, Chief Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City, said that Vietwater 2024 not only opens up new development opportunities but also promotes innovation in the water industry. Breakthrough technologies and solutions will be a solid foundation for environmental protection and sustainable water resource development.

According to the organizers, businesses participating in this year’s exhibition will focus on introducing green products and technologies from water supply systems, irrigation, wastewater treatment, and sludge management technology. The WETV exhibition will also display environmental monitoring and recycling technologies, creating clean energy from waste materials.

In particular, a new highlight at Vietwater 2024 is the Water Hackathon competition to seek sustainable initiatives from young talents in water management and treatment, clean water supply, digital technology application, and at the same time support potential startup projects to develop into real businesses.

Alongside the exhibition, there will be a series of international seminars, contributing to the sustainable development of the water and environmental sectors from leading experts such as "water reuse to meet the sustainable development of the water sector", "technology for collecting, classifying, treating and recycling solid waste towards green development".

The organizers said that within the framework of the exhibition, there will be networking and trading activities to connect potential buyers with more than 450 suppliers from around the world . The exhibition will last for 3 days from November 6 to 8.
