News, pepper price forecast tomorrow 7/1/2025
Domestic market on July 1, 2025
Many experts believe that the increase with a wide amplitude of 3,000 - 8,000 VND/kg in the domestic pepper market shows a strong recovery after a short-term slowdown. The fact that pepper prices have increased for many consecutive days reflects the improvement in purchasing demand of domestic businesses and traders, as well as the expectation of an upward trend in the coming time.
Pepper prices have remained stable at the peak for nearly a week, indicating that domestic demand remains stable while supply has not increased sharply. The market is entering an accumulation phase, likely preparing for a new price wave if large export orders appear in July.
In addition, domestic supply is not abundant as most of the high-quality products have been sold since May. Farmers who are still stockpiling goods are waiting for better prices. The rainy season is coming in many key growing areas, making it difficult to dry and preserve pepper, reducing the amount of goods brought to the market, contributing to maintaining prices.
In addition, rising international shipping costs have caused exporters to consider carefully before signing new FOB contracts. The wait-and-see mentality of exporters has also affected the market as they are expecting new signals from the Chinese and European markets after the holiday season and the second quarter financial closing period.
According to forecasts, pepper prices tomorrow, July 1, 2025, are expected to remain around 128,000 - 133,000 VND/kg in key areas, with small fluctuations.
International market on July 1, 2025
Vietnam's pepper export market continues to fluctuate, increasing from 150 - 470 USD/ton depending on the type. Specifically, Vietnam's black pepper export price is currently at 6,240 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,370 USD/ton and white pepper price is about 8,950 USD/ton.
Experts say that supply shortages and changes in US tariff policies could have a strong impact on the global pepper market in the near future.
The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that in the short term, domestic pepper prices will stabilize or decrease slightly due to unstable export demand and tight supply. However, in the medium and long term, the global supply shortage may support pepper prices to increase again.
In fact, recently domestic enterprises have had to import large volumes of pepper from other suppliers for processing and re-export.
According to forecasts, the world market tomorrow will remain stable and increase slightly, but there will still be fluctuations in different countries.
