Domestic market on July 4, 2025
With the continuous upward trend in the last 3 sessions, domestic pepper prices on July 4, 2025 are forecasted to likely continue to increase slightly. Exporters said that Chinese and Eastern European customers are gradually increasing the number of new orders for July, creating momentum to push pepper prices to maintain their upward momentum.
Meanwhile, domestic farmers still maintain the mentality of raising prices, not wanting to sell at high prices, contributing to strengthening the push for pepper prices. Pepper prices in many localities are forecast to increase by 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg. In particular, key areas such as Dak Lak, Lam Dong and Ho Chi Minh City are likely to approach the 148,000 VND/kg mark if transactions remain positive.
International Market July 4, 2025
According to the forecast from the International Pepper Community (IPC), world pepper prices on July 4, 2025 will tend to move sideways or decrease slightly in some key markets, while still recording increases and decreases in each country.
Specifically, the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper decreased slightly, currently at 7,526 USD/ton; the price of Muntok white pepper also decreased slightly to 10,167 USD/ton. The Malaysian pepper market remained stable with the price of ASTA black pepper at 9,000 USD/ton and ASTA white pepper at 11,750 USD/ton. Pepper prices in Brazil continued to be stable at 6,050 USD/ton.
Vietnam's pepper export market also remained stable and flat compared to the previous session, with the price of 500 g/l black pepper at 6,240 USD/ton, 550 g/l at 6,370 USD/ton and ASTA white pepper price at 8,950 USD/ton.
In general, the world market showed signs of going sideways or decreasing slightly, while the domestic market maintained a slight increase thanks to demand from international customers and farmers' psychology of keeping prices.
