Construction of bridge No. 2 of Van Ly bridge project and access road

DNO - The Quang Nam Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (under the People's Committee of Da Nang City) said that on July 6, the contractor started construction of bridge No. 2 on branch line N2, part of the Van Ly bridge and access road project.

The Van Ly Bridge and approach road project began construction on September 16, 2023. To date, the main Van Ly Bridge has been basically completed. The contractor, Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company, is building the approach road to the bridge.

According to the design, the approach road to the bridge has two branches, N1 and N2. Of which, branch N1 starts at the end of route DT610B, in the old Dien Quang commune (now in the new Go Noi commune) across Van Ly bridge, then turns left to the west to the intersection routes between DT609B and DT609C in the old Dai Hoa commune (now in the new Dai Loc commune).

Branch N2 starts from the intersection with branch N1 on the west bank of Van Ly main bridge, going to the intersection between DT609 and DT605 routes in the old Dien Hong commune (now Dien Ban Tay commune). This route goes inside the Thu Bon river bank, through the rice fields, along the residential areas with a length of about 4.13km; in which the total length of the 3 bridges No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 accounts for 546m.

After a long time of resolving issues, the locality was able to hand over the clean site to the investor and contractor for the construction of Bridge No. 1 and Bridge No. 2. On July 6, the contractor began construction of Bridge No. 2 with a total length of 176.05m; the upper structure consists of 14 cast-in-place slab girder spans.

Bridge No. 3 currently has no land for construction, due to housing problems for people in Dien Ban Tay commune that need to be resettled. However, the construction of the resettlement area has not yet been carried out on the ground.

Site clearance for the construction of the N1 branch road through Dai Loc commune is also being delayed, because the construction of a resettlement area to arrange new housing for people whose land was cleared has not been completed.

The Van Ly Bridge and Access Road Project was approved for investment in Decision No. 3445, dated December 16, 2022 of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province (now the People's Committee of Da Nang City). The project has a total investment of 575 billion VND; of which the central budget supports 420 billion VND. The project implementation period is 2023 - 2026.
