Add another flight from Philippines to Da Nang

At noon on July 1, Philippine Airlines flight PR585 landed at Da Nang International Airport, carrying 193 passengers on its first trip to the city. This flight marked the official opening of Philippine Airlines’ direct route connecting Manila and Da Nang.

Accordingly, the new route will operate with a frequency of 3 flights/week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; expected to increase to 4 flights/week from November 2025.

Flights are operated by Airbus A321 aircraft with a total of 199 seats, including 12 business class seats.

At the International Arrivals Area – Da Nang International Airport, many visitors were welcomed with many activities such as: water cannon ceremony to welcome the aircraft, traditional art performances, ribbon cutting ceremony, giving flowers and souvenirs to passengers, taking souvenir photos.

In addition, at the International Departure Terminal - Da Nang International Airport, Philippine Airlines also coordinated with Vietnam Airport Ground Services Joint Stock Company to welcome and give gifts to the first passengers on flight PR586 departing from Da Nang to Manila at 13:35 on the same day.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said that the launch of Philippine Airlines flights to Da Nang took place on the very first day the city officially operated with an expanded geographical space and ecosystem of tourism products and services.

According to the Da Nang City Statistics Office, in 2024, the city welcomed more than 65,000 visitors from the Philippines. In the first 5 months of 2025 alone, this number reached more than 49,000, 2.26 times higher than the same period last year.
