Son La enrolls more than 60,000 students in primary grades

GD&TĐ - In the 2025-2026 school year, Son La will enroll more than 60,000 students from preschool to high school, an increase of 3.5% compared to the previous school year.

In the 2025-2026 school year, enrollment in Son La province will be implemented synchronously, flexibly, and in accordance with actual conditions in localities, ensuring publicity, transparency, fairness, and compliance with regulations.

Since early June 2025, educational institutions in the province have simultaneously implemented enrollment for the first level. For high school level, the Department of Education and Training has successfully organized the entrance exam for grade 10 with more than 16,400 targets. By June 18, the exam scores and benchmark scores of 43 public high schools were announced in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

For public preschool to secondary schools, schools continue to apply the admission method based on commune area, with quotas built on the basis of actual surveys of the number of students of the right age, facilities and teaching staff. Admission routes are flexibly adjusted to meet students' learning needs.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Son La province, said that this school year, two forms of enrollment registration will continue to be maintained: online and in person.Educational institutions are absolutely not allowed to collect additional contributions outside of the regulations during the enrollment period.

The 10th grade entrance exam was organized effectively and seriously by the Son La Education Department.

The online admission portal at https://sonla.tsdc.edu.vn/ has been upgraded, adding many utilities such as: looking up information by identification code, step-by-step procedural instructions, sending automatic messages when receiving or approving applications... contributing to the transparency of the admission process.

The enrollment work for primary schools across the province is expected to be completed before August 15. The Department of Education and Training of Son La province has identified this as an important task, and will continue to direct it resolutely and implement it effectively to ensure students’ right to study and improve the quality of comprehensive and sustainable education.
