Son Hai proposes to invest in completing the North-South expressway, Quang Ngai - Dau Giay section

The North-South Expressway section in the East from Quang Ngai to Dau Giay (Dong Nai) is 679 km long, currently with a scale of 4 lanes, and will be studied by investors to expand to a planning scale of 6 lanes.

Son Hai Group has just sent a document to Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang about studying and preparing a project proposal and investing in the complete expansion of the North-South expressway in the East from Quang Ngai to Dau Giay under the PPP method.

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai, Chairman of Son Hai Group, proposed that Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and leaders of ministries and branches consider assigning this unit to take the lead and cooperate with a number of capable investors to study and prepare a proposal for the North-South Expressway expansion project in the East, from Quang Ngai to Dau Giay under the PPP method at the investor's expense.

In case the project proposal is not approved, Son Hai Group shall bear all costs and risks and commit to completing the project proposal on time as required.

It is known that the North-South expressway section in the East from Quang Ngai to Dau Giay ( Dong Nai ) is 679 km long and currently has a scale of 4 lanes, of which the majority are 4 lanes without continuous emergency lanes.

According to the Road Network Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the North - South Eastern Expressway is 2,063 km long, with a scale of 6 - 8 lanes. Of which, the section from Quang Ngai to Dau Giay has a planning scale of 6 lanes.

Previously, at the end of May 2025, Son Hai Group proposed to the Government to allow research and investment in the complete expansion of 263 km of the North-South Expressway, from Hoai Nhon (Binh Dinh) to Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) under the PPP method.

This enterprise commits to self-arranging all capital sources (including equity and legally mobilized capital), not using budget capital; construction time is not more than 24 months and construction warranty is for 10 years.
