Economist Up 2025: Young people's proud mark on the journey of international economic integration

After more than 3 months of competition, the final round of the Economist Up 2025 - Integration Journey contest has ended with many unforgettable impressions.

On the afternoon of June 29, the final round of the Economist Up 2025 - Integration Journey contest took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office, with the goal of creating an academic playground for university and college students in Hanoi, promoting the ability to apply knowledge about international economic integration to solve practical problems.

Speaking at the opening of the final round, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin, Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy, emphasized that the Academy is striving to play a pioneering role in training and nurturing a generation of students with the capacity for deep integration.

Representative of the Organizing Committee of the contest, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, Acting Dean of the Faculty of International Economics, expressed her pride in the efforts and performance of the contestants throughout the past journey, and affirmed that this is a great academic playground, where young people can access and apply international integration knowledge through highly practical projects.

Entering its third season, the Economist Up competition continues to affirm its appeal with the participation of many teams from prestigious universities in Hanoi . The theme of this year's competition focuses on building a project to export Vietnamese seafood to the European Union (EU) market, a topical topic, closely linked to the trend of deep economic integration and implementation of free trade agreements such as EVFTA.

With the innovation in the organization format, this year's competition has helped students have the opportunity to accumulate knowledge, master the operating rules of international economic theories, international business, international trade and apply that knowledge to the practical process with business projects.

At the final night, the first prize and the award for “Most Favorite Team” went to UPNEXT team with the project “Exporting frozen sea bass fillets to the Italian market”. Second place went to EconBlaze team with the project “Exporting whiteleg shrimp to the Dutch market”. Sea-Cret team won third prize with the project “Exporting PTO shrimp to the German market”.
