On July 4, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) issued a notice on the implementation of Circular No. 69 on the arrangement and classification of markets at stock exchanges.
Accordingly, for the work of receiving and reviewing registration dossiers for listing and organizing stock trading, the departments will implement the provisions in Clause 2, Clause 3, Clause 4, Article 1 of Circular No. 69.
Specifically, from July 1, HoSE will receive and review listing registration dossiers and organize trading of new shares of organizations that meet the listing conditions specified in Decree No. 155.
At the same time, the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) officially stopped accepting applications for new stock listings from organizations.
In case an organization has submitted a stock listing registration dossier to HNX before July 1, 2025 but has not been approved for listing, this exchange is responsible for transferring the organization's listing registration dossier to HoSE before July 8 to continue processing the organization's listing registration dossier according to the law.
This regulation not only originates from Circular 69, but is also consistent with the market role orientation set forth in Decision No. 37/2020 of the Prime Minister on the establishment, organization and operation of the Vietnam Stock Exchange (VNX).
Accordingly, HNX is responsible for organizing and operating the derivatives trading market, bond trading market and other types of securities according to the provisions of law.
HoSE organizes and operates the stock trading market and other types of securities in accordance with the law.
To implement this orientation, the Ministry of Finance previously issued Circular No. 57/2021, stipulating the roadmap for rearranging the trading markets for stocks, bonds, derivatives and other types of securities.
The restructuring of the stock market towards specialization in each product segment is expected to enhance transparency, increase operational efficiency, and meet market upgrading standards in the coming time.
