On the afternoon of July 4, the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training announced the exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 of more than 100 non-specialized public high schools.
After knowing their exam scores, candidates must compare them with the standard scores to know which grade 10 they want to be admitted to at non-specialized high schools.
According to regulations, candidates who fail their first choice will be considered for their second choice. Candidates who fail their second choice will be considered for their third choice. The admission score for the second choice must be 1.0 points higher than the standard score of the school the candidate registered for. Similarly, the admission score for the third choice must be 2.0 points higher than the standard score of the school the candidate registered for.
Similarly, candidates also have 2 wishes to enter specialized schools, prioritize wishes 1 and 2 and wishes to enter bilingual programs and French-enhanced programs.
Schools will return exam result notification forms to candidates before July 8.
Candidates who need to have their exam papers reviewed must submit a request for review between July 4 and July 10.
After knowing that they have enough points to pass, candidates must confirm their admission. In case the candidate has enough points to pass both specialized high schools and non-specialized high schools (1 of 3 wishes), bilingual programs, and French-enhanced programs, the candidate can only confirm admission to 1 wish.
The admission confirmation period is from July 10 to July 12, either online or in person. After this period, if the candidate does not confirm their admission, it will be considered that the candidate has refused the right to enroll.
With the online form, candidates log in with their account and password to the city's primary admission system at https://tsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn, select the name of their admission wish and confirm their admission, print or save the form to complete the process.
In person, students submit a copy of their 10th grade exam results to the school they are admitted to so the school can update the system.
Right to withdraw admission application during the admission period
During the enrollment period, if necessary, students who have submitted their application for admission have the right to withdraw it. The Department requires schools to create conditions for students to withdraw their application, remove their names from the admission list, and cancel their admission confirmation on the Department's system.
From July 17, schools that do not meet their enrollment quotas will conduct additional enrollment. Candidates who have not been admitted in the first round should follow the information on the Department of Education and Training's portal and the mass media to get information on additional enrollment (list of schools with additional enrollment, admission scores, and enrollment quotas).
From July 19 to July 22, candidates who wish to take additional admission and meet the admission requirements will confirm their admission.
On July 28, candidates who have submitted applications for exam review will receive the review results.
From July 28 to July 30, schools will continue to process student applications after the review. Candidates who are eligible for admission after the review will confirm their admission during this time.
The 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi for the 2025-2025 school year had more than 103,000 candidates taking the exam, 64% of whom passed the entrance exam to public high schools.
