Dear leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front ; veteran revolutionaries; heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, heroes of labor; generals, officers and soldiers of the People's Armed Forces.

Dear compatriots, comrades; overseas Vietnamese; friends and progressive people around the world ,

Dear delegates,

Today, in the sacred and heroic atmosphere of the August Revolution days, we solemnly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Eighty years ago, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, beloved President Ho Chi Minh solemnly read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the first People's Democratic state in Southeast Asia, opening an era of independence and freedom for the country.

From that historic moment, the Vietnamese people embarked on a new journey: building a People's Government, protecting the Fatherland, and firmly moving the country towards Socialism, for the goal of "A rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization".

In this sacred moment, we respectfully remember our ancestors, express our infinite gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh; pay tribute to our revolutionary predecessors, millions of compatriots and soldiers who sacrificed and contributed to the independence, freedom, unification of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

Every victory of the Vietnamese revolution is associated with the correct and wise leadership of the Party.

We will forever remember the contributions of Vietnamese heroic mothers, war veterans, wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions; and engrave in our hearts the contributions of workers, farmers, businessmen, intellectuals, artists, the elderly, youth, women, children, people of all religions and ethnicities, our compatriots abroad, friends and progressive people around the world who have stood shoulder to shoulder, helped and supported the just revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese people over the past eighty years.

Vietnam is the crystallization of a thousand-year cultural tradition of building and defending the country; of resilience, intelligence, compassion and aspiration to rise up.

That spirit has forged the great strength of the August Revolution; of the two long resistance wars against colonialism and imperialism; of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in peace; of the cause of innovation, international integration and national development.

That is the strength originating from the People, belonging to the People, for the People; the strength of the great national unity bloc under the glorious flag of the Communist Party of Vietnam founded, led and trained by President Ho Chi Minh.

We are proud to affirm that: Every victory of the Vietnamese revolution is associated with the correct and wise leadership of the Party and Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Our Party, the vanguard of the working class, at the same time the vanguard of the working people and the Vietnamese nation, always adheres to the goal of national independence associated with socialism; creatively applies and develops Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in accordance with the country's reality in each period; puts the interests of the Fatherland and the People above all and first.

Thanks to that, our nation has overcome countless difficulties and challenges; our country has transformed from a colony into an independent, unified nation, steadily moving towards modernity and deep integration; its position and prestige are increasingly affirmed in the international arena.

Dear compatriots and comrades!

The task of protecting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Fatherland; maintaining security, order and social safety for rapid and sustainable national development; and constantly improving the people's lives and happiness is our command to act.

Successfully achieving those three goals is to fulfill Uncle Ho's wish before he passed away: "My final wish is: for our entire Party and people to unite and strive to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, and to make a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause."

Through the 80 years of hardship but heroic journey, we have affirmed the truth: under the glorious flag of the Party, with the light of Ho Chi Minh guiding the way, relying on the strength of the People and the great national unity, there is no difficulty or challenge that our People cannot overcome; there is no noble goal that our nation cannot achieve. Therefore, there is no obstacle, no reason that can stop us from reaching peace, prosperity, our nation's longevity and development.

Looking to the future, our Party sets the goal that by 2045, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country, Vietnam will be a powerful, prosperous and happy nation. That is the aspiration of the entire nation, an oath of honor before History and the People.

Let's unite, join hands, and turn aspirations into reality.

I call on the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army, and our compatriots at home and abroad, through concrete and practical actions, to unite, join forces, and be of one mind, to turn aspirations into reality; to make more efforts and be more determined; to highly promote Vietnamese intelligence, creativity, and mettle; and to successfully carry out the goals and tasks set forth by the Party and State and expected by the People.

We are determined and persistent in protecting the independence, freedom, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland with the combined strength of the entire nation: political, economic, cultural, scientific, technological, military, foreign affairs strength and the strength of the people.

We want to be friends and trusted partners with all countries in the world. We respect international law and the United Nations Charter; and resolve disagreements and disputes by peaceful means.

We absolutely will not compromise with any plots or actions that violate independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity; we are determined to firmly protect national and ethnic interests.

Dear compatriots and comrades!

In this sacred moment, each of us seems to hear the echoes of Uncle Ho's 1945 Declaration of Independence, to see millions of Vietnamese hearts beating together with pride, to resound the oath "to die for the survival of the Fatherland".

The more we understand the value of "Independence", "Freedom", "Happiness"; the more we cherish and are determined to cultivate peace; the more we appreciate the sacred meaning of the words "My People", "My Fatherland".

Once again, I respectfully bow before the spirit of the great President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who have incarnated into the country and the sacred soul of the nation.

I would like to send my warmest congratulations to my compatriots, comrades, soldiers nationwide, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Long live Vietnam; Peaceful Vietnam, Prosperous and Developed Vietnamese People.

Long live the glorious Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Long live the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam.
