Kha Son continues to write a new page of history

From the historic land of An Toan Zone II, which bears the mark of a heroic time of the Vietnamese revolution, Kha Son today is breaking through and gradually realizing its aspiration to become a model new rural commune by 2030, worthy of the glorious tradition that generations of fathers and brothers have worked hard to cultivate.

Proud of the heroic land

During the days of August, we returned to Kha Son, the land of Safe Zone II (ATK) during the resistance war against the French, where the footsteps of previous leaders such as Truong Chinh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Quoc Viet... were recorded.

It was no coincidence that the Party Central Committee chose Kha Son as the ATK. With its strategic location, adjacent to the Cau River, connecting the upper region with the plains, Kha Son was both a protective belt and a strategic bridge between revolutionary bases. Places such as Kha Son Thuong communal house, Mai Son pagoda, Rac forest, Mr. Cao Nhat's house or Man forest... were symbols of patriotism, revolutionary spirit and indomitable spirit of the people here.

In July 2025, Kha Son commune was established on the basis of merging 5 communes: Kha Son, Luong Phu, Tan Duc, Duong Thanh and Thanh Ninh. This event is a historical milestone, opening a strong transformation for the land rich in revolutionary traditions.

With an area of ​​nearly 38 square kilometers and a population of more than 42,000 people, Kha Son has many advantages for socio -economic development, attracting investment and improving living standards. During the 2020-2025 term, the locality has planned 15 residential and urban areas, of which 11 have been approved in detail and 5 have investors. In addition, Kha Son has also developed 4 industrial clusters with a total area of ​​160 hectares. Thereby affirming the potential and attractive investment environment of the locality.

Aspiration to rise

Promoting internal strength, taking the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development" as a guideline, in the period of 2020-2025, Kha Son achieved an average income of nearly 64 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate decreased to 1.17%; 100% of communes before the merger met new rural standards, 3/5 communes met advanced new rural standards.

Implementing the New Rural Construction Program with the motto "The State and the people work together", the commune mobilized 1,282 households to donate more than 65,753m2 of land, upgraded 57.14km of roads, 12.9km of canals, 10 hamlet cultural houses with a total cost of over 66 billion VND.

Mr. Duong Van Chung, Secretary of the Party Cell of Pham 1 Hamlet, Kha Son Commune, said: Previously, the narrow road made traveling very difficult. After the commune merger, the State invested in expanding and paving the Asphalt road. My family donated 90 square meters of land, contributed more than 40 million VND, and joined hands with the locals to build the intra-hamlet road.

Kha Son is also a bright spot in the province's digital transformation with many typical models such as: "Market 4.0", "Friendly Government", "Community Digital Technology Team" covering 100% of the hamlets. Some OCOP products, such as Truong Nguyen white horse balm, have been put on e-commerce platforms...

Promoting the tradition of the revolutionary homeland, Kha Son entered the 2025-2030 term with the goal of becoming an advanced new rural commune, a model new rural commune. In particular, the commune identified three strategic breakthroughs: developing synchronous infrastructure; shifting the economic structure towards industry - services; building e-government and digital society; economic growth reaching over 10.5%/year; average income per capita reaching 95 million VND/person/year...

Mr. Nguyen Van Ban, Secretary of the Kha Son Commune Party Committee, emphasized: Kha Son's great advantage is the investment in the Ring Road 5 connecting the Capital region and Noi Bai airport, opening up great opportunities in attracting investment. The commune has been approved by the province for many planning projects for residential areas, urban areas and 2 industrial clusters, creating a foundation for rapid and sustainable development of the industrial - agricultural - service economy, improving people's lives and arousing aspirations to rise up.

“Pride in tradition – proactive integration – aspiration for breakthrough” is the consistent spirit of the Party Committee and people of Kha Son in the 2025-2030 term. Under the guidance of the Party, the consensus and determination of the government and people, Kha Son is steadily writing new pages of history.
