The Oceanographic Museum opens its exhibition area at Hon Chong Hill for free until September 15.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on September 2, the Museum of Oceanography (under the Institute of Oceanography) officially launched the "Mysterious Ocean" exhibition area at Hon Chong Hill (Northern Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa). The exhibition area is open free of charge until September 15, promising to become an attractive destination for tourists who love marine science.

The "Mysterious Ocean" exhibition area is divided into 5 parts according to the depths of the ocean so that visitors can experience the distinct differences in light conditions and pressure of each water layer. The highlight of the exhibition area is 3 main areas: The lighting floor recreates the "tropical forest" of the ocean with skilled hunters; the twilight and eternal darkness floor explores the biological light dance and the phenomenon of "sea snow"; the endless abyss floor - the kingdom of eternal darkness, cold and extreme pressure. "Each creature and story on display carries a strong message about the majesty of the natural world, with the desire to ignite the passion for discovery and humanity's sense of responsibility for the blue ocean", Mr. Truong Si Hai Trinh - Deputy Head of Information and Communication Department of the Institute of Oceanography shared.

The "Mysterious Ocean" exhibition area is one of the topics in the large-scale exhibition complex "The Ocean World through the Lens of the Universe" of the Oceanographic Museum in 2025. The event marks a new step in disseminating knowledge about the sea and ocean to the public, while contributing to promoting scientific tourism in Khanh Hoa.
