Flag salute on DK1 platform on National Day September 2

Navy - From islands to mainland, officers and soldiers of Naval Region 2 solemnly celebrated National Day September 2, determined to maintain the sovereignty of the Fatherland.

On the morning of September 2, on the DK1 Platforms of Naval Region 2, officers and soldiers solemnly held a flag-saluting ceremony and reviewed the ranks. The sacred atmosphere of National Day September 2 combined with the murmuring sound of the waves seemed to give strength to the soldiers at the forefront of the waves and winds.

In addition to the task of observing and being ready for combat, the platforms also organize live television viewing of military parades and marches; combining cultural, artistic and sports activities, creating an exciting atmosphere.

Captain Tran Luc, Political Commissar of DK1/10 Platform, shared: "Although we are in the middle of the ocean, far from the mainland, through television we can still feel the proud and joyful atmosphere of the whole country on Independence Day."

Lieutenant Nguyen Trung Anh - Military Medical Staff, DK1/10 Platform expressed: "Salute the flag is a familiar practice, but this morning, on the occasion of National Day, September 2, when singing the National Anthem and reciting 10 oaths under the national flag fluttering in the vast sea and sky, I am more deeply imbued with the value of independence, freedom and more determined to maintain sovereignty over the sea and islands."

In Con Dao Special Zone (Ho Chi Minh City), officers and soldiers of Radar Station 590, Regiment 251 of Naval Region 2 renovated the grounds and offered incense at Hang Duong Cemetery. This is a profound act of gratitude, and at the same time reminds today's generation to continue the heroic and steadfast tradition on the island frontline of the Fatherland.

On land, agencies and units in the entire Naval Region 2 simultaneously organized flag-raising ceremonies, offered incense to commemorate martyrs, combined with many meaningful activities such as sports, arts, visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services, presenting houses to comrades, admitting new party members and mass mobilization in the stationed areas.

Towards the important anniversary of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, from remote islands, oil rigs, and ships to units on the mainland, officers and soldiers of Zone 2 in formal attire, with solemn postures, simultaneously turned towards the Capital with sacred sentiments and steadfast faith.

Besides the commemorative activities, the entire Region still maintains strict duty regime, combat readiness, and ensures absolute safety in all situations.
