According to Lao Dong reporters, late at night on September 1, at Hanoi train station (Le Duan Street, Cua Nam, Hanoi), tens of thousands of people carried national flags, wore red shirts with yellow stars, spread mats, set up folding chairs around the sidewalk, and stayed up all night waiting for the National Day parade to take place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2.

Despite having to wait for many hours on the streets, people still kept an optimistic spirit and bright smiles.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Trang (35 years old, Lang Son ) said that she had set off at 6am to attend the important event of the country. In addition to food, drinks, blankets, she also brought a speaker to entertain people while waiting for the parade.

At 142 Le Duan, a group of people were singing revolutionary songs and songs about Uncle Ho such as "Like having Uncle Ho on the great victory day" and " Ho Chi Minh song" while dancing. Hundreds of people around clapped their hands to the beat of the music, creating a bustling and exciting atmosphere in the middle of the night before the big festival.

After 10pm, on the roads where vehicles are strictly prohibited (except for vehicles with security badges and vehicles serving the celebration), the authorities have set up barriers. Hundreds of police officers and soldiers are on duty at the checkpoints to ensure that vehicles without a mission absolutely do not enter or exit the restricted areas.

According to the A80 Parade protection plan, key routes such as Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong are managed by the Internal Political Security Department (Hanoi City Police) in coordination with Cua Nam Ward Police - all are large areas with high population density, and at the same time, a large number of people from many provinces and cities flock to. This makes the pressure to maintain security, order and traffic flow more intense than ever.

Many days ago, Hanoi City Police deployed synchronous plans, mobilizing maximum forces and means to ensure absolute security and safety for the parade as well as the people attending.

Mr. Pham Van An (65 years old, Vu Huu Loi street, Hanoi) shared that in recent days, a large number of people have flocked to the Hanoi Railway Station area to watch the parade. In that scene, he and many other people could not help but be moved when witnessing the dedication of the police force.

"The officers and soldiers not only maintain order but also take care of every little thing for the people, from showing them the way, showing them where to go to public restrooms, to reminding them to keep their belongings carefully to avoid loss," said Mr. An.

According to him, despite having to stand day and night in harsh weather conditions, with unpredictable sun and rain, the police officers still maintain a serious demeanor and are highly focused on their duties.

At the same time, they often smile friendly, chat and interact with people on both sides of the road. "It is this closeness and enthusiasm that creates a solemn and warm atmosphere during the country's important holidays," Mr. An said.
