The strength of the Vietnam Navy is demonstrated through the array of military equipment paraded on the occasion of A80.

During the sea parade (A80) celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, many modern weapons of the navy were introduced to the people and international friends.

From the first armed canoes, the armed forces at sea have been constantly developing, equipped with many modern and diverse means, capable of fighting in all situations. This is an important strength that contributes to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.

During the sea parade (A80) celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, many modern weapons were introduced to the people and international friends.

"God's Eye" at Sea and Anti-Submarine Power

DHC-6 aircraft - highly maneuverable seaplane, can take off and land on water, undertakes many missions such as reconnaissance, patrol, emergency medical rescue, search and rescue at sea.

The Ka-28 helicopter is known as the “submarine hunter killer” thanks to its modern navigation system and anti-submarine equipment, capable of searching for and destroying enemy submarines and surface ships in all weather conditions, day and night.

Kilo 636 submarine - the pride of the Vietnam People's Navy - is known as the "Black Hole in the Ocean", capable of stealth, launching modern missiles, destroying targets on land and at sea with high precision.

Gepard 3.9 missile frigate with fast maneuverability, wide range of operations, can operate independently or in coordination to destroy targets in the air, at sea, on land, even in level 12 wave conditions.

In addition, the 159 class anti-submarine frigate, the 1241RE and 1241.8 missile boats ("lightning" boats), the TT-400TP gunboat... are all modern weapons with strong firepower, ready to fight in all situations.

Besides the Navy, the Coast Guard, Fisheries Surveillance, Border Guard and Standing Militia forces are also equipped with many modern, multi-purpose patrol boats.

These ships not only patrol, inspect, control, search and rescue, but also directly fight against violations of the law at sea, protect fishermen, handle IUU, maintain security, order and sovereignty of seas and islands.

Demonstrating modern defense power

The KN 290, KN 390, SPA 4207 fleets, along with many multi-purpose rescue ships, support ships, maritime militia ships, etc., will participate in the parade, affirming the combined strength of the Vietnamese armed forces at sea.

With strong modernization, the armed forces at sea are increasingly developing, capable of protecting sovereignty and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for national development in the new period.
