Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung affirmed: "The exhibition is an event of national and international scale, with profound political, cultural and social significance. This is an opportunity for Hai Phong to honor its outstanding development achievements, while affirming the modern, dynamic and unique urban appearance of the Port City."
In parallel with the national event, Hai Phong organized many visual propaganda activities in the locality. Notably, two large exhibitions at the Eastern Cultural Center and Hai Phong Museum attracted a large number of visitors.
At the Xu Dong Cultural Center (Le Thanh Nghi Ward), the exhibition "80 years - Forever resounding the heroic song of independence" took place. The exhibition consists of two parts: Part one displays 100 valuable photos and documents, recreating the historical process from the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the outstanding achievements of the country and the city in the past 80 years. Part two of the exhibition introduces 90 excellent works from the 2025 news and art photography contest, vividly reflecting the contemporary life of the city.
Meanwhile, at the Hai Phong Museum (Hong Bang Ward), the thematic exhibition “Imprints of Historical Autumn” introduces more than 250 valuable documents, images and artifacts. The content focuses on two themes: “Vietnam - Independence, Self-reliance” and “Hai Phong in the August Revolution and Today’s Achievements”.
Mr. Vu Dinh Tien, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized: "The exhibition aims to promote and educate revolutionary traditions, arouse national pride, especially among the young generation; thereby encouraging the spirit of studying, working, and contributing to building the city and the country."
Multiplying pride in country and homeland

Following the direction of the City People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has developed a detailed plan, instructed agencies and localities to hang the national flag, decorate for visual promotion and organize a city-level propaganda contest. Many streets are brightly colored with the red color of the Party flag and the national flag, becoming check-in spots attracting young people and tourists.
In addition to the photo and documentary exhibitions and thematic exhibition "Imprints of Historical Autumn", many cultural and artistic programs were organized, with the highlight being the special art program at the City Theater Square and the Eastern Cultural Center Square, combined with fireworks on the evening of September 2. On this occasion, professional art theaters and organizing units increased performances and mobile film screenings to serve people in suburban areas... The series of visual propaganda activities at the city level became a prominent mark on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. These events and activities are a bridge connecting memory and the present, between tradition and aspirations to rise. Nguyen Hoang Linh, a student at Ngo Quyen High School, said: “I am very proud that Hai Phong is increasingly developing, becoming more spacious and beautiful. Cultural events and exhibitions held on this occasion help us, the younger generation, to be more grateful to our ancestors and to appreciate the value of peace.”
80 years after the National Day of September 2, the country is at peace, "Independence - Freedom - Happiness" and increasingly affirms its position in the international arena. Each citizen appreciates the historical value, peace, and is proud of the country and homeland. Exhibitions, cultural and artistic events have aroused the revolutionary spirit, belief and aspiration of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, becoming valuable assets to help Hai Phong firmly step on the path of innovation, integration and sustainable development.
