36 words the Prime Minister concluded at the exhibition of 80 years of national achievements

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" on the morning of August 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh recalled the time one year ago when the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the National Exhibition Fair Center took place in the land of Dong Anh, a land of talented people, where Co Loa citadel is located, associated with the legend of the Golden Turtle in the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country.

Turning the wild land along the Red River into an attractive destination

The Prime Minister said that the construction of the National Exhibition Center - a modern and spacious project - contributes to realizing the Politburo 's Conclusion on the Hanoi Capital Planning, developing in the direction of "culture - civilization - modernity" with a smart urban model, a creative, bright, green, clean and beautiful city.

The special and remarkable feature of the Exhibition Center is the world's largest steel dome system, 56m high, 360m in diameter, weighing up to 24 thousand tons, manufactured, designed and constructed in Vietnam to simulate a turtle shell.

“The project has turned the wild land along the Red River into an attractive destination, ready for major political, economic, cultural and artistic events of the country, region and the world; a meeting place for patriotic and national pride festivals,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

According to the head of the Government, the exhibition “80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” is a special highlight, not only honoring the glorious historical journey, but also spreading patriotism, national pride, aspiration to rise up, affirming Vietnam's potential and position on the path of innovation, integration and development.

The exhibition was held on the largest scale ever, with the full participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 large enterprises and economic groups with more than 230 booths across the entire area of the Exhibition Center (in Kim Quy Exhibition Hall and the outdoor exhibition area in the four East, West, South and North courtyards).

The exhibition introduces the achievements of nearly 180 industries in various fields (industry, agriculture, trade, investment, culture, science and technology, education, health, environment, traditional craft villages, OCOP products, special products, national defense, security, foreign affairs...) with many documents, materials, artifacts, machinery and equipment, documentaries, reports, vividly and quite comprehensively reflecting the outstanding achievements during the "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" of our nation under the leadership of the Party.

At the same time, the exhibition demonstrates the cultural traditions, the spirit of hard work, and effective production and business of the people and enterprises in all regions of the country; especially depicting the image of the country and people of Vietnam with a glorious history of thousands of years; the culture imbued with national identity and unity in diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the richness of products in all three regions of the country; the development and progress of all ministries, departments, branches, 34 provinces and cities over the past 80 years.

The exhibition is scientifically, modernly and professionally designed; the display layout is rich, diverse and comprehensive; the content is authentic, engaging and convincing; the presentation is attractive and impressive through many means, forms and styles, from artifacts, images and documents presented by modern technologies (3D, virtual reality, multimedia audiovisual, artificial intelligence (AI) ...), practical, enjoyable and culturally profound.

Recreate important events, brilliant milestones

The exhibition includes many special thematic areas, showing cross-sections of revolutionary history and vertical sections of core values and great achievements in the heroic history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people.

Highlights include: The central area of the exhibition with the theme "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way" , recreating an overview of important events, brilliant milestones, and successes under the leadership of the Party.

In addition, there is also an exhibition space "Vietnam - Country - People" about achievements in cultural and artistic development, honoring the beauty of nature, country and people of Vietnam; an exhibition space "Economic locomotive" about the achievements of state-owned corporations and groups.

Exhibition space “Start-up and nation building” about the achievements of typical private enterprises; exhibition space “Aspiration for the sky” about the aerospace sector; exhibition space “Sword and shield” about the achievements of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army and Public Security with modern weapons and technical equipment basically researched, manufactured and improved by Vietnam.

In particular, the Exhibition Center has dedicated an entire building named "Culture lights the way for the nation" to display the unique cultural space and art of our nation through the regions of the country.

A “living school”

“Looking back at the process of building the Exhibition Center and the preparation and organization of today's exhibition, we can summarize it in 36 words: Resolute leadership and direction - rapid and bold construction - effective public-private partnership - unique architecture and landscape - modern technology and management - large scale and high quality. All of these factors create a comprehensive and unique space, a panoramic picture of the entire process of fighting for national liberation, national reunification, fighting, working, studying and creating of our people under the leadership of the Party and beloved Uncle Ho”, the Prime Minister concluded.

The Head of Government assessed that the exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" deeply reflects and is the crystallization of the contributions and dedication of the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army throughout the glorious and heroic 80-year history of the Vietnamese Revolution, with the very active, proactive and creative participation of the Party agencies at the Central level, the agencies of the National Assembly, all levels, sectors, localities, and representatives of the business community in the process of organization and implementation.

The exhibition is also a “living school”, with a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, bringing history closer and more accessible, so that today’s generations can better understand their origins, the great sacrifices and achievements of previous generations; thereby adding motivation, inspiration, and nurturing the aspiration to bring the country steadily into a new era, an era of wealth, civilization, prosperity, and prosperity, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

The Prime Minister acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the agencies, units, localities and enterprises that have actively and effectively contributed to the completion of the project and the organization of the Exhibition; so that the people can better understand the glorious and heroic historical traditions of the nation and enjoy the cultural achievements as a spiritual festival of the country.

The Head of Government emphasized that this exhibition is not only about the achievements, but also a vivid demonstration of the great potential of the cultural industry, the entertainment industry and the great creativity of the Vietnamese people in the harmonious and effective combination of political - economic - traditional cultural - historical content with modern and attractive expression, affirming the value of Vietnamese culture, the potential for commercialization of Vietnamese creative products, contributing to promoting the country's rapid and sustainable development.

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, localities and enterprises to continue to carefully prepare and organize well all exhibition activities, art programs, conferences, exchanges, meetings, forums, etc. so that people in the country and international friends can experience, feel, and be proud of the country's achievements and enjoy the results of the National Exhibition Center as a new symbol of the capital and the whole country.

“We hope and believe that, under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, promoting the 80-year tradition of building, protecting and developing the country, the entire political system, all levels, sectors, localities and all our people will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, and effort to successfully achieve the two 100-year strategic goals set by the Party,” said the Prime Minister.
