Minister Nguyen Van Hung: When music plays, people's hearts will come together to join hands in solidarity to build the country.

On the evening of September 1, at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presided over and coordinated with Hanoi city and relevant ministries and branches to solemnly organize a special art program with the theme "80 years - Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness". General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam attended the program.

Also attending were Politburo members: President Luong Cuong; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu - Head of the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 3 years 2023-2025; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, leaders of departments, ministries, branches and provinces and cities.

Speaking at the program, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that in the excitement and pride, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), today, in Hanoi city - "Thousand years of civilization", "City for peace", carrying out the tasks assigned by the Party and State leaders, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi city and relevant departments, ministries and branches solemnly organized a special art program with the theme "80 years - Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" .

The program was honored to welcome General Secretary To Lam, along with Party leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, veteran revolutionaries, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, leaders of departments, ministries, branches, localities, international guests and a large number of compatriots and comrades in attendance.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the Vietnamese people have a tradition of solidarity; ardent patriotism, bravery, resilience, and indomitability in fighting foreign invaders; diligence and creativity in working and building the country; have overcome countless difficulties and challenges, with the eternal aspiration to bring the Fatherland to new heights.

When the Communist Party of Vietnam stepped onto the political stage, it was those "flesh and blood" people, carrying within them the "Lac Hong Bloodline", who were deeply aware of their great responsibility before the Fatherland and the times and made extremely glorious miracles, winning independence and freedom for the country.

History has recorded that 80 years ago, when the heroic song "Tien Quan Ca" resounded, the country entered the Era of Independence. From that sacred sound, the entire Vietnamese nation under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, we wrote a great epic with a full range of emotions - heroic and tragic, hardship and glory, aspiration and belief in a bright future.

An epic poem of the rapid marching steps when together "Going to war", is a song that echoes forever along the Lo River. An epic song of the day of total victory when the whole nation bursts into the melody of "The country is full of joy" - The triumphant song of peace and unity. A harmony of faith and aspiration in the New Era, where the "Strength of Unity" converges to "Glory awaits us".

According to Minister Nguyen Van Hung, over the past 80 years, culture and art have accompanied the nation, creating a source of nourishment for the soul, strength, spirit and will of Vietnam. Today's special art program not only features musical works and dances, echoing profound verses, but also a profound gratitude to previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland "The resistance has won the country back for life/The shadow of the country seems like the shadow of my child" as the lyrics in the song "Mother loves child". Music is a magical bridge, where the love of a mother is immense and protective; where "Aspirations of youth" and passionate, burning love of couples blend in the sacred and immortal love of the Fatherland.

With that meaning, the special art program "80 years - Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is hereby permitted to begin", Minister Nguyen Van Hung said.

The program "80 years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is divided into three chapters with tight content, profound art and politics.

The special national art program with the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is an important political - cultural event of the country. Through the program, we aim to honor the 80-year journey of formation and development of the new Vietnam: from the struggle for independence, defending the Fatherland to the cause of innovation and integration; at the same time, it is a tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, heroic martyrs and compatriots and soldiers nationwide who sacrificed for independence, unification, peace and development; and inspire the aspiration to contribute, innovate, and develop a prosperous and happy country in the new era, especially for the young generation.

The program was elaborately staged on a grand scale with the participation of nearly 3,000 professional and non-professional artists, along with orchestras, choirs and mass actors from many major art units across the country.

The program "80 years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is divided into three chapters with tight content, profound art and politics.

The opening chapter, titled "The Road to Independence and Unification", recreates the heroic history of the nation from the long night of slavery to the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, the Dien Bien Phu victory and the Great Spring Victory of 1975, unifying the country.

Chapter two "Aspiration for the Fatherland" opens up a renewed, developed and integrated Vietnam with images and artistic video clips depicting the unified and joyful spirit of the nation after 1975. The art program combines music, dance, fine arts and modern technology, creating a multi-layered, creative art synthesis, with a 3D mapping system, multi-layered surround sound, super-sharp LED screens and artistic fireworks effects. Multimedia projection techniques vividly recreate historical images, cultural memories and national symbols, helping the audience "relive" the entire 80-year journey of the nation.
