According to reputable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al Nassr has consulted the 40-year-old captain before negotiating with the team's next coach.

Ronaldo is said to have suggested Jorge Jesus to replace Pioli. According to the French newspaper Foot Mercato, the Portuguese striker personally requested the appointment of his compatriot, with whom he has a very close relationship. Jesus is expected to sign a one-year contract, with the option to extend for another year with Al Nassr.
Multiple reports have said that the two sides have met to discuss the possibility, given that Jorge Jesus once managed Al Hilal - Al Nassr's biggest rival in the Saudi Pro League. Whether the deal becomes a reality or not will depend on the negotiation process between the parties.
Al Nassr's decision to part ways with coach Pioli came just before Ronaldo extended his two-year contract with the club on June 26. The Portuguese striker has officially extended his contract until 2027, ending all speculation regarding the possibility of leaving the Saudi Arabian club.
With a salary of nearly 600 million euros, Chairman Abdullah Al-Majed personally took a photo to sign the contract with the Al Nassr captain. Two days later, the Portuguese superstar gave an interview to the team, saying that he "belongs to Saudi Arabia".
Coach Pioli has left the club after a disappointing season. Al Nassr finished third, 13 points behind champions Al Ittihad - led by Karim Benzema - and failed to qualify for next season's AFC Champions League. Despite his success with AC Milan, including the Serie A title in 2022, Pioli has failed to replicate that form in Saudi Arabia and is leaving.
