Lam Dong Newspaper and Television is a public service unit under the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, established on the basis of merging the Radio - Television Station and Party Newspaper of the three former provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong.

Established since July 1st, Lam Dong Newspaper and Television has completed the Editorial Board of 12 people and 9 functional departments, initially basically meeting the propaganda work and assigned tasks. Currently, the total number of officials and employees working at the agency is 445 people.

However, according to comrade Le Huy Toan, because it was newly established and put into operation, Lam Dong Newspaper and Television Station encountered many difficulties due to degraded facilities. Meanwhile, the project to build the old headquarters of Lam Dong Radio and Television Station is still under construction and cannot be put into use.

In terms of finance, after the merger, Lam Dong Newspaper and PTTH has 445 employees, so the monthly salary payment for staff, civil servants and workers is very large. In addition, the number of printed newspapers is expected to increase with a budget of about 7.3 billion VND for the last 6 months of 2025. Meanwhile, the revenue from advertising and propaganda services has no source so far.

In order for the agency to soon operate effectively and efficiently, and perform well the assigned tasks in the coming time, comrade Le Huy Toan - Editor-in-Chief of Lam Dong Newspaper and Television proposed to the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee a number of contents, such as: Creating conditions to arrange additional operating budget in 2025 and the following years because the printed newspaper increases pages, issues and number of issues; increasing broadcasting channels of radio and television according to the Project previously approved by the Provincial Party Committee; promptly approving budget to purchase equipment to serve operations; directing relevant departments and branches to urgently guide and resolve the regime for cadres and civil servants of the unit who have registered to retire according to Decree 178.

Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of Lam Dong Newspaper and Television also hoped that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee would continue to pay attention to and direct extensive propaganda work in all sectors and fields to effectively promote the image of Lam Dong province with many areas and potentials for development.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Hong Sy highly appreciated the work of merging 6 press agencies of 3 old localities of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Dak Nong to establish the new Lam Dong Newspaper and Radio and Television, which has been basically completed at this point.

The issues of newspapers and radio and television programs continuously published and broadcast in the past 9 days have demonstrated the initiative in the merger, solidarity, and love for the job of the Editorial Board and the team of reporters, technicians, and workers when operating in a new unit with many difficulties and challenges.

In the coming time, to ensure the smooth and in-depth operation of the apparatus, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Hong Sy requested the Editorial Board of the Provincial Newspaper and Television to continue to carefully review the organizational structure, management personnel, job positions of officials and employees; have a reasonable way to use headquarters, technical equipment, and film studios, ensuring effective and extensive propaganda in all sectors, fields, and 124 communes, wards, and special zones in the whole province.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested Lam Dong Newspaper and PTTH to complete financial work, organize the handover of documents, books, and inventory of technical equipment clearly. The unit needs to continue to promote key information on all aspects of content, especially on the organization of party congresses at all levels. There are many good news and articles in propagating the Politburo's Resolutions on science and technology development, innovation, national digital transformation and building a private economy, helping to spread the correct policies and guidelines of the Party, State and province.

Step by step, further improve the quality of news and propaganda articles, research and innovate the production methods of radio and television programs; to specifically and uniquely reflect the socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security of Lam Dong province; strive to make Lam Dong Newspaper and Television Agency a strong media brand of the whole country.

Regarding the project to build the old headquarters of Lam Dong Radio and Television Station, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the leaders of the Provincial Newspaper and Television to urgently work with relevant parties to soon have a report and specific proposals for the Provincial Party Committee leaders to direct units to remove difficulties, speed up the project construction progress, and meet the workplace needs of cadres and employees of the new agency as soon as possible.
