Cu Lao Gieng is considered an attractive and convenient location in An Giang province for international shipping lines to stop and take visitors on their journey to explore the Mekong River from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh (Kingdom of Cambodia).

“For sustainable development, we hope the province will continue to support the construction of interconnected tourism routes between the three communes of Cu Lao Gieng, avoiding separate development, which will help increase the overall attractiveness of the entire area. At the same time, expand the traffic system to the tourist destination to facilitate the movement of large vehicles 29 and 45, creating conditions for businesses to access large groups of tourists and increase the number of tourists to Cu Lao Gieng. Provide training on tourism knowledge and skills for local people, because community participation is a key factor for sustainable tourism development,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Yen suggested.
In order to take advantage of opportunities and sustainably exploit Cu Lao Gieng tourism products, in the coming time, the locality will continue to resolutely and effectively implement the Tourism Development Project of 3 Cu Lao Gieng communes.
