According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Huu Ich, the old Nam Tra My district (now the communes of Tra Tap, Tra Leng, Tra Linh, Tra Van, Nam Tra My) is an area where natural disasters, storms, floods, landslides, and landslides frequently occur, and are easily isolated, making search and rescue work very difficult. Investing in building a material gathering place to serve natural disaster prevention, search and rescue work for communes before and during the rainy and stormy season, as well as a helipad in case the roads are isolated, is really necessary and urgent.

"Therefore, the City Military Command has proactively advised the leadership to issue an emergency order to deploy the construction of a helipad. This is with the purpose of bringing food to the people when the mountainous communes are isolated and cut off, serving the rescue work," said Lieutenant Colonel Ich.
Currently, the Da Nang Military Command continues to advise the Da Nang People's Committee to urgently build a landing site in Hung Son Commune (former Tay Giang District) with a proposed investment of 7-10 billion VND. The project aims to respond to the storm season this year and the upcoming one for people in the former Nam Giang and Tay Giang districts. The project has been surveyed and agreed to be built with the 372nd Air Defense Division.

In addition, in 2021, the unit deployed the construction of a helipad in Phuoc Thanh commune (former Phuoc Son district) with a budget of 5 billion VND. This is a food gathering point, with a warehouse for storing materials, and has organized the use of food gathering before the rainy season to transport to people in the communes when there is an incident.
