On the evening of August 24, according to a quick report from the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Ha Tinh province, as of 7:00 p.m. the same day, coastal communes in Ha Tinh had evacuated 4,577 households/12,104 people; for communes at risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides, 390 households/875 people had been evacuated. Depending on storm and flood conditions, localities continue to review to direct and concentrate forces to support the evacuation of people in dangerous areas to safe shelters...
Ha Tinh province has also mobilized military , border guards, and provincial police forces with more than 3,200 officers and soldiers on duty and directly sent to the area to support the government, people, and 6,900 militia and self-defense forces at the grassroots level to respond to storm No. 5.

Regarding agricultural production, as of August 24, in Ha Tinh province, the rice area was 43,827ha/45,806.2ha (reaching 95.7% of the cultivated area). Some areas entered the waxy and fully ripe stages. Up to now, the whole province has harvested about 500ha, concentrated in the communes of Yen Hoa, Dong Tien, Cam Binh, Thach Lac, Thien Cam, Duc Thinh, Ha Huy Tap ward... The area for planting upland crops is 9,369ha/9,827ha (reaching 95.34% of the plan); up to now, about 70% has been harvested.


Ha Tinh province has 116 critical lakes, of which 44 are at high risk of being unsafe. The province has directed management units to immediately deploy plans to ensure the safety of dams and reservoirs.
