Many Vietnamese street foods are in the top 100 best meat dishes in Southeast Asia.

Recently, the famous travel and culinary platform TasteAtlas introduced the top 100 best meat dishes in Southeast Asia. Vinegar-dipped beef, bun cha and many other Vietnamese street and rustic dishes were included in the list.

TasteAtlas’ Southeast Asia’s Top 100 Meats culinary ranking is based on reader reviews using a series of mechanisms to identify real users and ignore bot reviews, nationalism or local patriotism, while adding value to reviews from users the system recognizes as knowledgeable. As of August 2025, there were 5,416 reviews recorded by TasteAtlas for the Southeast Asia Top 100 Meats list. The TasteAtlas ranking aims to promote great local food, instill pride in traditional dishes and spark curiosity about what visitors can experience.

According to Tasteatlas, Vietnam's Beef in Vinegar Hot Pot is ranked third in the list of 100 meat dishes for tourists to choose from. This is a traditional Vietnamese hot pot dish, served communal style.
