The two units presented 300 gift boxes to 300 households affected by storm No. 1 in Dai Hung commune, Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province (old), now Thuong Duc commune, Da Nang city to help people stabilize their lives soon.
Previously, on June 11, the impact of storm No. 1 (storm WUTIP) caused heavy rain in the old Quang Nam province. Notably, in Dai Loc district (old), heavy rain combined with the discharge of floodwaters from upstream hydropower plants caused 725 houses to be flooded under 1 meter, and more than 2,700 hectares of rice, crops, watermelons, chili peppers, etc. to be severely damaged.
In order to join hands to overcome the consequences of the flood, the organization Samaritan's Purse coordinated with the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City to support 300 gifts (including household items, blankets, stainless steel pots, non-stick pans, food, rice, sugar, cooking oil...) for 300 households. Each gift is worth more than 2.7 million VND, the total support cost is more than 33 thousand USD.

Since 1996, Samaritan's Purse has been operating in Vietnam with projects focusing on six areas: livelihoods, health , clean water, environmental sanitation, relief and anti-human trafficking.
In Quang Nam province (old), from 2016 - 2025, Samaritan's Purse has implemented many projects, mainly in the fields of health, agriculture, clean water, environmental sanitation, disaster relief activities...
Specifically, such as supporting training courses on neonatal unit implementation teams for doctors, midwives, and nurses; the project "Maternal and child health care and clean water and environmental sanitation in Quang Nam province, phase 2021 - 2022"; the project "Children are approached and encouraged to practice hygiene in schools, phase 2022 - 2023"; the project "Livelihood of Tra Kot commune, phase 2023 - 2024"...
