The welcoming ceremony was solemnly held at the lobby outside the International Arrivals Terminal, with the presence of the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang and representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, the Central Aviation Authority; the Border Police of Da Nang International Airport; aviation security forces, etc.
At the welcoming ceremony, many art performances with strong Vietnamese and Japanese identities were performed, contributing to promoting the image of friendly and hospitable Da Nang . The first 3 passengers were given fresh flowers, souvenirs and round-trip airfare vouchers from Japan to Vietnam.
The Osaka – Da Nang route is operated with a frequency of 4 flights/week (on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays), combined with the Narita – Da Nang route currently maintaining 7 flights/week, bringing the total number of flights connecting Da Nang with major cities in Japan to 11 flights/week. This is a positive signal, affirming the efforts to restore the international aviation network, creating favorable conditions for the exchange of tourists , trade and investment between Da Nang and the Japanese market – one of the key markets of the city's tourism industry.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, in recent years, the city has increased promotion and advertising of destinations in Japan, participated in fairs, tourism introduction programs, welcomed tour groups, press, and KOLs to conduct field surveys. Thanks to that, in the first 6 months of 2025 alone, Da Nang welcomed more than 108,000 Japanese visitors, accounting for more than 4% of the total number of international visitors.
