On May 15, the Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism announced that the Guinness World Records Organization has recognized the outdoor theater in Sunset Town as having the world's largest water screen and capacity.
The theater has a 1,000m2 water screen, a capacity of 5,000 seats in the stands, a total capital of 1,600 billion VND, invested bySun Group.
The scale of the outdoor theater at Sunset Town is even twice as large as the outdoor theater Wings of Time (Singapore 2,500 seats); Legend of Pangu (China 1,500 seats).
The outdoor theater at Sunset Town is famous for its nightly show “Kiss of the Sea”, performed on a world-class scale and with advanced water projection technology.
Tourists watch a dazzling fireworks display during the Kiss of the Sea show at the outdoor stage.
The show “Kiss of the Sea” tells the love story between a Phu Quoc boy and a girl from a distant galaxy, expressed through a combination of modern projection technology, music, light, water, fire, laser and fireworks... bringing a unique multi-sensory art experience to the audience. The show also features ridgeback dogs and dugongs (sea cows), two typical species of Phu Quoc, helping the boy fight against external forces to reach his love...
With the combination of art and technology, Kiss of the Sea is not just an ordinary show but a world-class artistic masterpiece.
With the outdoor theater at Sunset Town achieving a Guinness World Record, Phu Quoc has two records, as the Hon Thom 3-wire cable car across the sea was previously recognized by this organization as the longest in the world. This is considered the sweet fruit of the Sun Group's continuous efforts in projects to beautify the lands and bring the image of Vietnam to the world in investing and building high-class tourist complexes across the country...
