In the specialized system, the two top students with the highest scores, both achieving 48 points, are:
1. Bui Ngoc Ha, Hanoi Star Inter-level School, valedictorian of Chemistry.
2. Nguyen Duc Khai, Archimedes Academy Secondary School, valedictorian of Math major.
The valedictorians of the remaining specialized classes all scored 43.75/50 or higher, commonly 45-46.

The 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi took place on June 7-8 with nearly 103,000 candidates, of which about 13,000 candidates registered to take the specialized subject exam on June 9. Four specialized schools recruited 2,730 students, an increase of 500 students compared to last year. The total number of specialized classes was 78, an increase of 14 classes.
The standard score for admission to specialized grade 10 ranges from 24 to 42.75, the highest is in the Chemistry specialized class of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, and the lowest is in the History specialized class of Son Tay High School for the Gifted.
Candidates who are admitted to their first choice will not be considered for the following choices. The admission scores for the second and third choices must be 1 and 2 points higher than their first choice. When the admission score is lowered, public high schools are allowed to admit students with their second and third choices who meet the admission requirements.
It is expected that by July 8 at the latest, schools will receive the exam result reports to issue to students. Students who wish to have their exam results reviewed must submit their applications from July 4-10.
Candidates will receive the review results by July 28 at the latest.
Students who are admitted will complete the admission procedures online or in person from July 10-12. Schools that do not meet their enrollment quota will meet to review additional admission scores on July 17.
