Valedictorian of Hanoi High School for the Gifted achieved the highest score of 48 points

Along with announcing the benchmark scores for grade 10 admission to non-specialized public high schools, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also announced the benchmark scores for grade 10 admission to 4 specialized high schools in the area.

Accordingly, Hanoi Amsterdam High School continues to lead the specialized schools with the highest standard scores in subjects. Of which, Chemistry has a score of 42.75; followed by English with 41.15 points; Physics with 40.5 points.

Chu Van An High School has a Chemistry benchmark of 40.0 points; Japanese is the second highest subject with a score of 38.50; Literature and Physics have the same benchmark of 38.

Among the 4 specialized high schools, Son Tay Specialized High School has the lowest admission score.

For example, the English subject of Son Tay school, the admission score is 30.45, 10.7 points lower than Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

The standard score for this subject at Chu Van An is 37.15 and Nguyen Hue is 36.65 points.

For example, the Chemistry subject at Son Tay Specialized School has a standard score of 31.5 points, 11.25 points lower than the standard score for this subject at Hanoi Amsterdam Specialized High School.

Hanoi currently has 4 specialized schools: Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted and Son Tay High School. Each school has from 9 to 13 specialized blocks.

This year, 4 specialized schools in Hanoi were assigned 2,730 quotas and 78 classes. Compared to 2024, the number of classes decreased by 4 and the number of quotas decreased by 240.
