On July 5, Danang University of Technology held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Associate ProfessorDr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Principal of the University of Technology - Danang University, said that the predecessor was Danang University, the school was established right after the country's reunification (1975), with the first 329 students and 4 faculties, in extremely poor material conditions.

Over the past 50 years, the school has developed into a key technical university in the Central region and the whole country with 14 faculties, 9 functional units, 11 research and training centers; 16 doctoral majors, 18 master's majors... with a scale of nearly 18,000 students.
The staff consists of 546 staff members, including 407 lecturers. The proportion of lecturers teaching theory with a doctorate is 74.4%, among the schools with the highest proportion of doctorates in the country. The rate of students having jobs after graduation is over 97%.
The school also focuses on investing in modern, international-standard laboratory and practice workshop infrastructure, creating a high-quality learning and research environment, helping students to be solid in theory and good at practice.

Within the framework of the celebration event, the University of Technology inaugurated the National Key Laboratory for Mechatronics and Applications.
This is a project approved for investment by the Minister ofEducation and Training. The project's objective is to improve training capacity and scientific research in the field of mechatronics to serve industrial production...
The project will be implemented in 2023-2025, with a total investment of 40 billion VND, including renovation, basic repair of laboratories, procurement and installation of laboratory equipment. The project includes laboratories in many fields such as Robots, IoT laboratories, and materials science laboratories.
