On the morning of July 5, athletes entered the second day of the Vietnam Pickleball Championship - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025. Today, the tournament took place in the categories of amateur men's singles (over 35 years old), amateur women's singles (over 35 years old), amateur men's doubles (14-34 and over 35 years old), amateur women's doubles (over 35 years old) and amateur mixed doubles (over 35 years old). Sharing with Tien Phong, Doan Minh Tai said he joined pickleball for 1 month. The actor felt pressured, but also excited to have the opportunity to participate in a national tournament.
The actor said he was a new player and was lucky to be able to participate in the national tournament. "This is a great opportunity for me to learn from experienced athletes. The first match was tense and exciting, everyone played very well. After this match, I have gained a lot of experience and will definitely try to practice to compete better," he added.
Doan Minh Tai said he was impressed by the scale and vibrant atmosphere of the pickleball tournament organized by Tien Phong newspaper. "Everyone here is very enthusiastic, the tournament is very professional, creating a great atmosphere. I see the competitors competing with focus and investing methodically, this is really inspiring," the actor said.
Doan Minh Tai said he hopes "winning a match in the qualifying round is enough to be happy", not daring to expect to achieve the highest goal of the championship.
Doan Minh Tai added that he clearly knows he is a newcomer, mainly coming to learn and enjoy the joy of the sport .
