Dan Tri newspaper's pickleball tournament applies Pickleball rules issued by the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, competing in the following format: Double elimination.

Round 1: 1 set per match, play until reaching 11 points, no 2-point difference, reaching 6 points, both sides change sides; The winning team in round 1 continues to round 3.

The losing teams continue to round 2 (knockout), the winning teams in round 2 continue to round 3; the losing teams are eliminated.

Starting from round 2 onwards: Each match is 1 set, play until reaching 15 points, no 2-point gap applied, touching 8, both sides change courts (except for the two events Dan Tri Lead, Dan Tri & Friends, the format will be applied from round 1 to round 3, play until reaching 11 points, no 2-point gap applied, touching 6, both sides change courts).
