Easily defeating Guam, the Vietnamese women's team officially won a ticket to the Asian Cup Finals.

On the evening of July 5, the Vietnamese women's team easily defeated the Guam women's team with a score of 4-0, thereby officially winning a ticket to the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Finals.

With 6 absolute points after 2 wins, the Vietnamese women's team only needs a draw with Guam to secure a ticket to the next round. However, the goal of coach Mai Duc Chung and his team is still to win by fielding their strongest lineup and taking the initiative from the start.

Right from the 2nd minute of the match, the Vietnamese women's team easily opened the score. Huynh Nhu had a difficult cross into the penalty area, forcing the Guam goalkeeper to come out to block. The ball bounced back to Nguyen Thi Van, who chose the right position to finish into the empty net.

In the second half, the Vietnamese women's team still dominated but their shots were no longer accurate. Coach Mai Duc Chung's students still managed to score another goal in the 72nd minute by Hai Yen to seal a 4-0 victory over Guam.

With 9 absolute points after 3 wins, the Vietnamese women's team easily won a ticket to the final round of the 2026 Women's Asian Cup.
