Women's 4.5 doubles champion reveals secret to winning the title

Athlete Phan Phuong Linh shared that she prepared to participate in the pickleball tournament "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new day" 3 days ago and did not think she would win the championship (Photo: FBNV).
"I was really nervous and worried when participating in a large-scale and professional tournament like the Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament. The tournament had the participation of many excellent players. I did not set a goal of winning the title to put pressure on myself, but wanted to compete with the most comfortable mentality possible," the athlete born in 1995 from Hanoi expressed before entering the official tournament.
Perhaps with a comfortable and confident mentality, Phuong Linh and her teammate Nguyen Que An continuously won important victories to put their names in the final match.

"When I played in the semi-finals, I thought the organizers were a bit "stingy" by not awarding the third prize, but instead having to compete for the third prize if I were to lose in the semi-finals. Luckily, my teammates and I won the semi-finals to enter the finals and were sure to stand on the podium," Phuong Linh added.

The victory in this match was probably an important turning point for Phuong Linh and Que An to play confidently and courageously in the final match and win with a final score of 15-6. The two hugged each other and burst into joy when they knew they had won the women's doubles 4.5 championship with many congratulations from their friends who were watching and cheering.
"Winning the championship felt like a dream. It felt really good because our training efforts paid off. Winning the championship in this tournament was really not easy, especially in the semi-final, there were times when we were behind and thought we would be eliminated.
In the final match, we encourage each other to play calmly and exploit the opponent's weaknesses to score points. In the end, we succeeded. Thank you for everyone's great support," athlete Phuong Linh shared after winning the championship.
