Da Nang puts into operation the National Key Laboratory of Mechatronics and Applications

TPO - On July 5, the University of Science and Technology - University of Danang held the inauguration ceremony of the National Key Laboratory for Mechatronics and Applications. The event is part of the school's anniversary activities, marking an important development step in the field of high-tech scientific training and research in the Central Highlands region.

On July 5, Danang University of Technology officially inaugurated the National Key Laboratory for Mechatronics and Applications, becoming one of the most modern high-tech research and training centers in the Central Highlands region.

With a total investment of 40 billion VND, the laboratory was built within the framework of a project approved by the Ministry of Education and Training on March 21, 2024.

The project's objective is to improve the capacity of human resource training and scientific research in the field of Mechatronics to serve the country's industrial production, while promoting the policy of sharing experimental and practical equipment to attract and promote linkages between businesses, research institutes, universities, and support in organizations applied research and innovation activities.

The space is designed in a modern style, including many specialized areas including laboratories in many different fields such as Robotics Laboratory, IoT Laboratory, Materials Science Laboratory, molds, and simulation design. The synchronous, industrial-standard equipment system allows students and tutors to access advanced technology and practice on real models close to production needs.

The laboratory is expected to be operational to serve students from the 2025-2026 school year. This is expected to be a breakthrough in research and training infrastructure, contributing to improving the quality of technical human resources, playing an important role in the country's industrialization and modernization process.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son and delegates visited the laboratory.

On the same day, the University of Technology also held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding. Marking the journey of half a century of construction, development and growth with many outstanding achievements, affirming its role as a leading training and research center in the Central Highlands region.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu - Rector of Danang University of Technology said: Over the past 50 years, Danang University of Technology has always identified international cooperation and business connection as two strategic pillars to improve training quality and integration capacity.

Up to now, the school has established relationships with more than 100 universities, research institutes, and international organizations; Carry out many joint training programs with partners from the US, France, Japan, etc. At the same time, the school constantly invests in developing modern infrastructure such as laboratories and practice workshops that meet international standards, creating conditions for students to study in a high-quality environment, solid in theory, good at practice, ready for global integration.
