The 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament will be held in Vietnam for the first time.
On the morning of July 2, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference to announce the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament in Vietnam, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
The tournament is organized by the Ministry of Public Security; assigned to the Department of Political Work to preside over and coordinate with functional units of the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association, the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam Football Federation, and Vietnam Television to organize.
The 2025 ASEAN Police Football Championship will take place from July 5, 2025 to July 15, 2025 at Hang Day Stadium ( Hanoi ) and PVF Stadium (Hung Yen), with the participation of 8 teams; including 5 teams in ASEAN (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Timor Leste); 1 team outside ASEAN (Australia) and 2 teams from the host country (Vietnam People's Public Security I and Vietnam People's Public Security II).
Speaking at the press conference announcing the tournament, Colonel Pham Kim Dinh, Director of the Department of Political Affairs - Ministry of Public Security, Head of the Organizing Committee, hoped that the tournament would be a bridge of friendship, contributing to strengthening international cooperation in security while promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam as peaceful, developed and hospitable to international friends.
"The tournament is of great significance, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day, aiming to promote the sports movement, improve health and team spirit for officers and soldiers; enhance the position and image of the Vietnam People's Public Security force; strengthen cooperation, solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding between the Public Security forces of ASEAN countries and some partner countries, and at the same time promote tourism, culture rich in identity, the image of a peaceful, friendly and hospitable Vietnam to international friends," Colonel Pham Kim Dinh emphasized.

According to the results of the draw, Group A with 4 teams including: Vietnam People's Public Security I, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia will compete at Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi); 4 teams in Group B including Vietnam People's Public Security II, Australia, Singapore and Timor Leste will compete at PVF Stadium (Hung Yen).
The opening ceremony of the tournament will be held at 6:30 p.m. on July 9 at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi. The group stage matches will take place from July 7 to July 11 at two locations in Hanoi and Hung Yen. The semi-finals (July 13) and the final (July 15) will take place at Hang Day Stadium.
As a professional partner, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is committed to working closely with the Organizing Committee to ensure that the matches are conducted professionally, fairly and transparently. The matches will be coordinated between domestic and international referees, meeting high professional standards, who have participated in the conduct of regional and continental tournaments.
In addition to the remarkable competitions on the field, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament plans to organize sideline activities such as: a welcome party for embassies, diplomatic missions, delegates, officials, referees and teams participating in the Tournament; Organizing a tour program for all teams participating in the Tournament in Quang Ninh province...
Accompanying the tournament as the main sponsor, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group affirmed that the Group is committed to fully accompanying the tournament to take place professionally, safely, and with strong identity, contributing to building the image of Vietnamese police officers as brave, disciplined, and friendly, while spreading the image of Vietnamese people and country in the region.
Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group - the main sponsor of the tournament, spoke at the event.

After just over a year, the team has achieved many outstanding achievements, affirming the effectiveness of the model of socialized cooperation and professionalization of sports," Vice Chairman Do Vinh Quang shared.
The matches of the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament will be broadcast live on FPT Play channel of FPT Television, expected to be relayed to Vietnam Television, Security Television (ANTV) and local channels, and will be widely reported on newspapers, social networks and digital platforms, in order to spread the spirit of sports to a large number of officers, soldiers and people in the country and international friends./.
Prize structure:
- Champion Team: Trophy, Cup, Medals and prize money of 30,000 USD.
- Second prize winning team: Honor roll, Cup, Medal and prize money of 15,000 USD.
- Third Place: Certificate of Merit, Cup, Medal and prize of 10,000 USD.
- Team winning style award: Honor roll and prize of 5,000 USD.
- Secondary awards, including:
+ Best player, best goalkeeper, best scorer, best referee team of the tournament: Bonus of 1,000 USD/tournament.
+ Best player of each match: Bonus 200 USD/tournament.
