Creating new cultural and spiritual spaces, spreading love for the Fatherland
Right before the official grand ceremony, on the evening of September 1, in the bustling atmosphere of the national festival, tens of thousands of people flocked to My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi to immerse themselves in the vibrant festival - the special national concert "80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness". Gathering nearly 1,000 artists and actors, including many famous artists such as Tung Duong, Den, My Tam, Mono, Trong Tan, Dang Duong..., the national concert continued to set many new records, both in terms of performing artists and attendees. My Dinh was brilliant with the red flag with yellow star. The sea of excited people joined the artists in singing songs praising the homeland and the Fatherland, expressing the spirit of solidarity and boundless pride of the Vietnamese people, an unforgettable moment for anyone who had the opportunity to participate in this special event.
Previously, a series of other large-scale programs leading up to the ceremony were successfully organized, bringing emotional musical experiences while awakening the sacred pride of the Fatherland such as: The art and political program "Fatherland in the heart"; "Proud to be Vietnamese" at My Dinh National Stadium; the grand music festival "V Concert - Radiant Vietnam", "V Fest - Radiant Youth" and the program "Words of the Vietnamese Heart" at the National Exhibition Center...
One thing these concerts have in common is that they sell out immediately after release. In the language of young people, it is “sold out in a flash”. Instead of going “Idol hunting” which are young foreign music idols, young people invite each other to hunt for tickets to “national concerts”. When participating in the event, each person is not just an audience, but a part of the program, a heartbeat in the heart of the Fatherland. The attraction of the “national concerts” has affirmed the success of the Organizing Committee in creating a cultural and spiritual space with a wide spread, initially showing new directions, new expectations with more richness, more meaning for the entertainment industry – a field that has long been assumed to serve purely entertainment.

Expect more new achievements after meaningful records
In the field of cinema, the film "Red Rain" - a film about revolutionary war produced by the People's Army Cinema is "feverish" outside the theater system, becoming a rare phenomenon of Vietnamese cinema in many years. Set in the ancient citadel battlefield of Quang Tri during the resistance war against the US to save the country, "Red Rain" was released to the audience on the days when the whole country was excitedly celebrating the great holiday of September 2. The film was successful, touching the hearts of all classes when telling a story about war that was fierce, emotional, and more unique than many previous works of this genre. With a revenue of nearly 400 billion VND on September 1, "Red Rain" broke previous box office records, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2025, entering the top 5 highest-grossing works of all time in Vietnam.
Thus, after the recent phenomena of revolutionary war films such as “Peach, Pho and Piano” or “Tunnel – Sun in the Dark” on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (A50) not long ago, the fact that “Red Rain” surpassed many records of previous blockbusters of Vietnamese entertainment films opens up many new hopes for political films in particular and the film industry in general. The success of “Red Rain” shows that not only comedies and horror films attract audiences, but films about revolutionary war are also very rich in potential, needing to continue to receive appropriate investment.
In the field of exhibitions, the phenomenon of the past few days has to be mentioned as the Exhibition of National Achievements “80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness Journey” at the National Exhibition and Fair Center, Dong Anh, Hanoi. Taking place from August 28 to September 5, this is a special event on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The exhibition was organized on the largest scale ever, with the full participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 enterprises and large economic groups with more than 230 booths on an area of up to nearly 260,000m2, introducing the achievements of nearly 180 industries in various fields with many documents, materials, artifacts, machinery and equipment, documentaries, reports, vividly reflecting the country's outstanding achievements over the past 80 years.
In the days before, during and after the grand ceremony, the exhibition was one of the destinations that attracted a large number of people and tourists. The exhibition's appeal was perhaps only surpassed by the parade celebrating the success of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 (A80). With nearly 1.2 million visitors in the first 3 days of opening, the exhibition broke all previous records in this field, opening up many new expectations for the development of the exhibition in the coming time.
Another fact that needs to be noted is that besides the grand national events, the large-scale projects implemented by public organizations in coordination with socialization, hundreds of works of art were created by individual artists from the inspiration in the days immersed in the exciting atmosphere of the national festival. Many works set impressive records, spreading greatly, especially among the youth, about national pride, gratitude to the generations who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation, encouraging patriotism. Notable among them are the "billion-view" musician Nguyen Van Chung - an unexpected phenomenon from A50 with the song "Continuing the story of peace". Hoa Minzy with the MV "Pain in the midst of peace". Tung Duong clearly shows the national spirit with the series of MVs "Continuing the story of peace", "Vietnam - Proud to follow the future".
After A50, singer Duyen Quynh also reunited with musician Nguyen Van Chung with the MV “Nguyễn Sã vi Bình Yên” – a work born from the emotions of the days when artists participated in the A50 and A80 festivals… Hopefully, the spirit of the festivals will continue to be a source of abundant inspiration for artists and groups to have many worthy works and art programs, encouraging the entire people and army to strive and contribute to building a prosperous country in the new era.
