The North-South Expressway construction project in the East phase 2021 - 2025, the section passing through Quang Tri province, includes 3 component projects: Vung Ang - Bung, Bung - Van Ninh and Van Ninh - Cam Lo with a total length of 156.81km through 22 communes and wards with 11 intersections.
According to the report from the Department of Construction, as of July 7, the main route site clearance work has been 100% completed. specifically, the additional part of 2 rest stops in Hoa Trach commune, Dong Son ward has been handed over to Project Management Board 6; all 35/35 resettlement areas have been completed and 852 households have been resettled. In addition, during the project implementation, the work of relocating technical infrastructure works, material mines, material dumping sites and construction material prices has been fully and promptly met, completed on schedule and in accordance with regulations.
However, the project implementation is still facing difficulties and obstacles as the additional land acquisition for the rest stop at km725+500 in Con Tien commune has not been completed; fences and access roads in the communes of Bo Trach, Hoan Lao, Truong Phu, and Kim Ngan have not been completed. At the same time, several households have petitioned for housing near the land acquisition and compensation plan for house shaking and cracking; households have received money but still obstruct the construction, disagree with the compensation and support plan...
At the meeting, representatives of leaders of departments, branches, units and localities focused on discuss and discuss solutions to remove some difficulties related to compensation and site clearance work.

Concluding the meeting, to ensure the completion of the project according to the direction of the Government , Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Phong Phu requested the communes of Phu Trach, Trung Thuan, Bac Trach, Bo Trach, Hoan Lao, Nam Trach, Truong Ninh, Le Ninh, Truong Phu, Kim Ngan, Ben Quan, Con Tien, Hieu Giang, Ba Don ward and Dong Son ward to be the investors of the Land Acquisition Sub-project of the North-South Expressway Construction Project, Eastern phase 2021-2025, the section passing through their management, and to carry out the remaining work contents according to the provisions of the law on land.
At the same time, request the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards; leaders of the Department of Construction, Project Management Board 6 and the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board ( Ministry of Construction ) to focus on leading and directing the implementation of a number of tasks, to ensure the completion of site clearance work before July 12, 2025.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Phong Phu also directed communes and wards to coordinate to urgently resolve households' requests regarding payment, compensation plans, and promptly hand over construction sites to serve the project.
For the Project Management Boards of the Ministry of Construction, it is necessary to coordinate with relevant localities to urgently determine the level of impact of the project on household; review and agree on plans to repair and restore local roads used to transport construction materials.
In addition, departments and branches are required to proactively guide the People's Committees of communes and wards in applying policies and difficulties and problems in compensation, support and resettlement when implementing the 2-level local government model, ensuring continuity and consistency in site clearance and project implementation.
