On July 6, the Chief of Con Co Border Guard Station, Lieutenant Colonel Le Quoc Hoc, said that, stemming from the desire to warn of danger and ensure safety for people and tourists when swimming at Ben Nghe beach, the unit has deployed a buoy system and fences to limit the swimming area here.
created, after conducting a survey of the sea level depth within a safe distance; about a week ago, the unit sent 15 officers and soldiers to participate in tasks such as: casting concrete bases, installing life buoys on ropes to form a system of buoys, a continuous fence in a semicircle about 200m long (about 5m with a floating life buoy attached) in the Ben Nghe beach area. After that, the buoy-attaching rope system was securely tied to concrete bases dropped on the seabed. This buoy system is about 150m from the shore.
It is known that during the tourist season, every day there are hundreds to thousands of people and tourists bathing at this beach.
“This buoy and fence system will help people recognize the limits of safe swimming areas, thereby limiting risks that may occur when swimming in the sea,” said Lieutenant Colonel Le Quoc Hoc.
