QTO - Not only is he good at his profession and has good moral qualities, for many years, Mr. Tran Tai, Captain of the Power Line and Transformer Station Operation Management Team, Chairman of the Khe Sanh Power Company's member union, Quang Tri Power Company, has always put the interests of the collective and the industry first, constantly learning and practicing to improve himself. His contributions to the development of the electricity industry have been recognized and highly appreciated by his colleagues and superiors.

Dedicated to work

From a technical officer, after a period of hard work, Mr. Tai was elected as the union president and appointed as team leader. During more than 25 years of working in the electricity industry, he has always strived and devoted himself to the assigned tasks.

The unit is located in a mountainous area, so it faces many difficulties. As a person with many years of practical experience in the grassroots areas, in the process of performing assigned tasks, Mr. Tai researches and advises on the management and operation of the power grid, ensuring good frequency of periodic inspections, reasonable power outages to reduce the duration of widespread power outages and prevent incidents from occurring, ensuring safe and effective operation of the power grid throughout the unit.

In the work of repairing the power grid and investing in construction, Mr. Tai proactively builds the progress and production plan for each specific project to help the work avoid problems and overlaps. Regarding the work of site clearance, he always takes advantage of the direction of the local government, enthusiastically propagates to customers to understand the importance of the electricity industry, and encourages customers to do a good job of handing over the site to carry out the work to ensure the projects exceed the set schedule.

He assigns and directs staff and workers in the department to perform their work appropriately, arranging human resources according to each person's strengths to help them more easily perform their assigned tasks.

Promoting creativity in production and business activities, he spent time researching and had technical innovation initiatives to rationalize production in the unit, benefit the unit in management, and save human resources and costs for the company.

Typically, in 2019, he and a group of authors from Khe Sanh Power Company researched a solution to add oil to a closed-type single-phase transformer using a homemade device through a pressure relief valve during periodic maintenance of the equipment. This work aimed to increase work productivity, ensure electrical safety and occupational safety and hygiene, so the Evaluation Council of the General Corporation recognized the technical innovation initiative and has been applied in the unit's production.

“With this initiative, we have done maintenance and oil replenishment work for transformers on site; there is no need to disassemble the transformer and bring it back to the factory for normal processing to reduce the customer's power outage time, and at the same time, there is no need to have a spare transformer to replace when disassembling the machine for repair, reducing the unit's production costs,” Mr. Tai shared.

Always for the common good

As a cell member, Mr. Tran Tai and the cell developed specific plans corresponding to each content and requirement of the topic "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle". Leading by example, he followed Uncle Ho with the most specific and practical actions, especially always having a progressive spirit, learning to improve political level and professional expertise. Doing a good job of helping and nurturing outstanding people to consider introducing them to the Party, contributing to building a strong cell, Party organization, government and organizations in the unit.

With his professional and movement contributions, engineer Tran Tai has received many awards over the years. Most recently, on June 20, 2025, he was awarded a certificate of merit by the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province (old) for his exemplary performance in implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW for the period 2016-2025.

As the Chairman of the Trade Union of the unit, Mr. Tai always takes care of and puts the interests of the workers first. He and the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the unit regularly care about the material and spiritual life of the workers; advise the unit's leaders and direct the production departments to participate in movements to ensure safety, labor hygiene, and fire prevention effectively. Encourage cadres and workers to overcome difficulties, always strive to fulfill political tasks well, participate in activities and emulation movements of the industry and locality.
