Rising water levels, Hanoi issues flood warning on two rivers

Due to rising water levels, the Hanoi City Civil Defense Command issued a first alert on the Nhue and Day rivers in dozens of communes and wards.

Based on the water level of Nhue River at Dong Quan at 2:40 a.m. on August 27 being 4.02 m (alarm level I is 4.00 m), the Hanoi City Civil Defense Command issued an alarm level I.

Specifically, the first alert on the Nhue River is applied in the following wards and communes: Thuong Cat, Dong Ngac, Phu Dien, Tu Liem, Xuan Phuong, Tay Mo, Dai Mo, Ha Dong, Kien Hung, Dai Thanh, Binh Minh, Ngoc Hoi, Tam Hung, Thuong Tin, Thuong Phuc, Dan Hoa, Phuong Duc, Chuyen My, Ung Hoa.

Similarly, the water level of the Day River at Ba Tha at 2:30 a.m. the same day was 5.56 m (alarm level I was 5.50 m), the Hanoi City Civil Defense Command also issued an alarm level I on the Day River.

Communes and wards applying this alert level include: Hat Mon, Quoc Oai, Hung Dao, Chuong My, Quang Bi, Hoa Phu, Phuc Son, Hong Son, My Duc, Huong Son, Dan Phuong, Duong Hoa, Son Dong, An Khanh, Yen Nghia, Binh Minh, Thanh Oai, Dan Hoa, Ung Thien, Van Dinh, Hoa Xa.
