HORECFEX Vietnam 2025: Shaping the future of the Tourism - Service industry with technology and innovation

On August 26, in Da Nang, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh attended and spoke at the Exhibition and Forum on Technology, Innovation and Creativity in the Tourism and Services Industry (HORECFEX Vietnam 2025).

HORECFEX Vietnam 2025 with the theme “The Way Forward” will be held on August 26-27 with more than 3,500 guests, 80 booths, 500 leading enterprises, many domestic and international speakers. The event provides an opportunity to update the latest trends in technology and market as well as urgent issues to improve competitiveness and develop sustainable management and operation for businesses in the HORECA industry (Hotels, Restaurants and Catering/Coffee Services).

Speaking at the opening session, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh said that HORECFEX Vietnam 2025 is being held in the context of Vietnam's tourism being in a period of strong development, receiving special attention from the Party and the State. In the first 7 months of 2025, Vietnam tourism welcomed over 12.2 million international visitors, an increase of 22.5% over the same period in 2024, serving 93 million domestic visitors, with total revenue from tourism estimated at 616 trillion VND. Tourism is considered by the Government and the Prime Minister as a bright spot in socio -economic development. Vietnam tourism is also honored to receive many prestigious awards and titles from prestigious international organizations around the world.

These are very positive signals, clearly demonstrating the growing appeal of Vietnam on the world tourism map, while affirming the important role of the tourism industry in contributing to the realization of economic growth goals, especially in the context of the country's strong growth, towards a powerful and prosperous future.

Director Nguyen Trung Khanh emphasized that the tourism industry is focusing on implementing the Resolutions and Directives of the Government and the Prime Minister on promoting tourism development, ensuring the achievement of the double-digit economic growth target in the coming time. In particular, the important content is to increase the attractiveness of destinations; invest in and develop new tourism products, improve the technical facilities and infrastructure system serving tourism. In particular, the whole industry is making efforts to promote digital transformation solutions in the spirit of the direction in Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. Aiming to form a seamlessly connected smart tourism ecosystem, comprehensively supporting tourism management, business and visitor experience.

The HORECFEX 2025 Forum focuses on artificial intelligence (AI), digital business and sustainable development, and will continue to be an important platform to help businesses improve customer experience, optimize management and stay ahead of new trends. The Director expressed his hope that new and creative ideas and solutions presented at this event will be applied in the restaurant and hotel sector, helping to improve the professionalism and efficiency of the tourism industry, contributing to faster and more sustainable tourism growth in the future.

According to Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, after the merger, Da Nang has expanded its geographical space 10 times, opening up many opportunities for tourism development with new potentials. The expansion of space and diversification of tourism resources will create momentum for Da Nang to become a tourism center, attracting high-quality international and domestic visitors.

Da Nang currently possesses many outstanding advantages in terms of tourism resources and modern infrastructure, including international airports, seaports, road traffic networks, and increasingly complete service facilities. In particular, the number of 4-5 star accommodation establishments in Da Nang is leading the country (164 accommodation establishments with more than 31,000 rooms), gathering many of the world's leading hotel management group brands.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Do Thi Hong Xoan - Vice President of Vietnam Tourism Association, President of Vietnam Hotel Association said that the three pillars of Vietnam's hotel industry in the coming period include: Comprehensive digital transformation; Sustainable development associated with responsible tourism; Redefining customer experience.

Within the framework of HORECFEX Vietnam 2025, attendees will have the opportunity to directly interact with advanced robotic solutions being applied in the hotel, restaurant and tourism industries.
