Responding to the 17th Press Award "For the Cause of Great National Unity"

Participants in the 16th "For the Cause of Great National Unity" Press Award include all professional and non-professional journalists, collaborators, and correspondents of domestic press agencies and overseas Vietnamese.

The works submitted for the award are those that have been used and published by news agencies and newspapers between August 1, 2024 and July 31, 2026. The content must accurately and promptly reflect the Party's guidelines and policies; the State's policies and laws; the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on promoting the strength of great national unity. At the same time, it must clearly demonstrate the role of the VFF in building a clean and strong Party and State; preventing and combating corruption and negativity; supervising cadres and party members; and implementing grassroots democracy regulations.

Works are encouraged to comprehensively reflect the political, economic , cultural, social, national defense and security situation; widely propagate the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW on promoting the strength of national unity; Directive No. 05-CT/TW and Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. In particular, it is necessary to be a pioneer in the fight against erroneous and hostile arguments, strengthening people's trust in the Party and State.

The press award also aims to promote the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in participating in Party Congresses at all levels, the 14th National Party Congress; Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political and social organizations for the 2026-2031 term; the results of consultations and introductions of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the election of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Other key contents include disseminating the results of implementing major campaigns and emulation movements: "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"; "All people participate in protecting the environment and responding to climate change"; "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind". Particularly emphasizing the movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in 2025 nationwide.

In addition, the award also focuses on promoting the implementation of the Regulations on supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political and social organizations; contributing ideas to Party building and government building according to Decisions 217 and 218 of the Politburo...

The Organizing Committee accepts entries for the 17th "For the Cause of Great National Unity" Journalism Award (2025 - 2026) until July 31, 2026.
