On the side of Quang Tri province, there were Central Party Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang; Deputy Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Deputy Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong; Provincial National Assembly deputies, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches and a large number of voters in the area. The conference was organized in person and online, connecting to 78 communes, wards and special zones in the whole province with the participation of nearly 1,000 voters.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Minh Tam reported to voters on the results of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly and the delegation's activities at the session.
Accordingly, the 9th Session reviewed and decided on many important and historical contents, closely linked to the requirements of innovation, institutional improvement, and organizational arrangement of the political system to develop the country quickly and sustainably in the new era.

The National Assembly reviewed and approved the Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, creating a constitutional basis for implementing the policy of streamlining the organizational apparatus of the political system, building a streamlined two-level local government model, and improving effectiveness and efficiency. The National Assembly approved the Resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units; the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued 34 Resolutions on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of 34 provinces and cities; voted to approve 34 laws and 34 resolutions... and many other important contents.
The outstanding results achieved by the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly were the active contributions of the National Assembly Delegation and individual National Assembly Deputies of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces, now Quang Tri Province. During the session, the National Assembly Delegates of Quang Tri and Quang Binh made 92 speeches, including 65 in groups and 24 in the hall. The National Assembly Delegations of the two provinces also compiled and forwarded 10 petitions under the authority of the Central agencies to the Petition Committee, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly; and forwarded 19 petitions under the authority of local authorities to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution.

Expressing their agreement, excitement, and trust in the leadership of the Party, the management and administration of the Government, and the legislative activities of the National Assembly, voters highly appreciated the arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels and expected that the National Assembly, the Party, and the State would select delegates and officials who are "dedicated and capable" and truly work for the people.

Voters also made many specific recommendations on environmental sanitation; shortcomings affecting people's lives during the implementation of some projects; health insurance policies; organizational structure and staff issues after the merger; counterfeit and poor quality goods; education quality; the merger of some educational units and institutions; consideration of the merger of villages and residential groups and focusing on improving the qualifications of village and residential group staff... and many other important issues.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung outlined the potential strengths of the new Quang Tri province. He emphasized: Entering a new development stage, facing many new opportunities and challenges, the new Quang Tri province needs social consensus, a methodical planning strategy and flexible policy mechanisms, focusing on people and investors. Provincial Party committees and authorities need to continue to promote the heroic tradition, solidarity, creativity, innovation in thinking, exploiting the province's potential and advantages to the fullest, turning challenges into opportunities.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that provincial leaders take the lead and unite; Party members, cadres and civil servants need to set an example, be brave, creative, dare to think, dare to do, eliminate localism, put the common interest above all. Ensure the two-level local government system operates smoothly, without interruption, effectively and synchronously; promptly adjust and handle arising problems and difficulties.
Regarding the construction of the documents of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, it must be the crystallization of innovative thinking, inter-regional vision and common development aspirations of a larger, stronger and more diverse entity in terms of scale, resources, position and potential as General Secretary To Lam directed.
The Deputy Prime Minister also outlined specific tasks such as organizing Party congresses at all levels, electing deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term seriously, systematically, scientifically and synchronously; focusing on socio-economic development tasks, fully promoting the potential and strengths when the two provinces are merged, to create a solid foundation for socio-economic growth...
Regarding voters' recommendations, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the provincial National Assembly Delegation to fully synthesize and forward them to competent authorities for response and effective resolution.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Hoang Duc Thang and National Assembly deputies directly discussed and clarified many contents of voters' concerns and recommendations; fully received voters' opinions, thoughts and legitimate aspirations to synthesize and forward to competent agencies for consideration and resolution.

Through the reality, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and highly appreciated the leadership, direction and administration of the local government after the merger; commended the efforts of the staff and the initial results in serving the people, contributing to ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the apparatus and effective operation.
