The highlight of this year's National Press Festival is the 2nd National Press Forum, with 10 discussion sessions on hot topics of interest to the press.
During the 3 days of the Press Festival, the Organizing Committee voted and awarded impressive exhibition booths, events, activities and press products; honored outstanding groups and units that contributed to the success of the Press Festival.
Lao Cai Provincial Journalists Association has 1 work that won the B prize in the category of "Impressive press products" in the category of television press products, with the documentary "Building a happy new village".
The work was produced by a group of authors Thanh Son, Huy Truong, Duc Trung, Pham Mien, broadcast on Lao Cai Newspaper's TV channel in January 2025. The film is 20 minutes long.
The film chronicles the rapid reconstruction of Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district after the terrible disaster that occurred in September 2024. From the ruins and desolation, the government and the people joined hands to create a spacious, safe and hopeful resettlement area. The film not only reflects the people's efforts to overcome difficulties after the disaster, but also spreads the message of solidarity, sharing, and solidarity in times of trouble.
In addition, the Emulation Cluster of the Northwest mountainous provinces was honored to receive the B prize in the category of "Impressive exhibition booth", with an exhibition space imbued with the identity of the highlands, demonstrating elaborate investment and creativity in introducing the region's press activities.
The award is a worthy recognition for the contributions of Lao Cai's journalism team in innovating the form of expression, improving the quality of journalistic works, and contributing to promoting the local image to friends across the country.
At this year's National Press Conference, the Organizing Committee awarded:
- 5 A prizes, 7 B prizes, 6 C prizes and 29 Encouragement prizes in the category "Impressive display booth";
- 3 A prizes, 3 B prizes and 12 C prizes in the category "Events within the framework of the Press Festival with impressive content and great influence";
- 8 A prizes, 14 B prizes, 20 C prizes and 15 Encouragement prizes for the category "Impressive press products".
