Vietnamese Party Committee in China accompanies the country to reach new era

The Vietnamese Party Committee in China is delighted and has high expectations for the success of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, term 2025-2030.

The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2025-2030 term, held from July 14-15, is an important political event towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, taking place in the context that the entire diplomatic sector is synchronously implementing emulation activities to achieve achievements in celebration of the country's major holidays and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese diplomatic sector.

The Congress witnessed a new step of maturity in the first year that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took over the functions and tasks of the Central External Relations Commission and part of the functions and tasks of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, while at the same time rearranging the organization and apparatus in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee.

The Vietnamese Party Committee in China is delighted and has high expectations for the success of this Congress, the Congress of “new faith and new spirit”. We believe that the Congress will be a place to gather intelligence, promote the spirit of innovation, democracy, solidarity, maintain the leadership role of the Party Committee, continue to build a clean, strong, highly combative Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , guide the entire sector to successfully implement the foreign policy of the 13th National Congress and prepare major orientations for the 14th National Party Congress. The Congress will set out strategic visions, strengthen political will, revolutionary mettle and promote the responsibility of the foreign affairs team in the “new historical starting point of the country” with fundamental innovations, contributing to bringing the country into a new era.

The Vietnamese Party Committee in China, with hundreds of Party members operating in its affiliated Party cells, deeply feels the importance of the current period, in the final year that determines the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress, the pivotal year entering the era of national development, and clearly recognizes the historical responsibility of our Party in realizing the "strategic transformation" of the nation and people. In recent times, the Party Committee has always focused on innovating the content and form of activities; strengthening political and ideological education, promoting dissemination, propaganda, and mobilization, arousing the spirit of dedication, serving the Fatherland and the People, creating unity in ideology, awareness and action in fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Party, the State and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Party cells regularly organize thematic activities related to political tasks, disseminate new resolutions and directives of the Central Committee, closely follow developments and situations in the country and link them with practical work in the locality; continue to promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Thereby, the atmosphere of Party activities becomes more lively, practical and creates a new vitality in the entire contingent of cadres and Party members.

As one of the key foreign affairs areas of Vietnam, in the context of the international situation continuing to have many rapid, complicated and unpredictable developments, the Party Committee in China clearly identifies the direction in the coming time as: Thoroughly grasping the Party's viewpoints, guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws in the new situation; improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of affiliated party organizations and party members in the Party Committee; consolidating and perfecting the Party Committee to be truly clean and strong and promoting the role, responsibility, proactiveness and self-awareness of cadres and party members, closely connecting with the masses, and gathering the strength of the Vietnamese community in China.

We will synchronously deploy all aspects of Party building work in conjunction with professional tasks, prioritizing a number of important tasks:

Firstly, focus on strongly innovating leadership and direction methods with the motto of upholding principles, innovating thinking and action; proactively and actively contributing effectively to the realization of the Party's foreign policy. Organize foreign affairs activities well, especially high-level foreign affairs; promote the Party's leadership role in political diplomacy, economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to consolidating a solid political foundation for bilateral relations in the direction of "6 more", proactively promoting priority areas of cooperation; and promoting multilateral diplomacy.

Second, continue to improve the quality of Party activities, ensure the substance and effectiveness in studying, grasping, propagating, and organizing the implementation of resolutions and directives of the Party Central Committee, the Government Party Committee, and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the same time, promote the spirit of democracy, solidarity, and innovation in each affiliated Party organization; focus on applying information technology and online communication to widely and promptly disseminate to Party members and the Vietnamese community in China.

Third , strengthen the work of Party building and development and training of local cadres in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics, in accordance with the characteristics of foreign affairs work and the practice of Party organizations and Party members in the locality. Discover and train a generation of young cadres with strong political will, good expertise and foreign languages, strategic thinking, high sense of responsibility, quick to adapt to the times, meeting the requirements of the new period.

Fourth , focus on the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work, in which self-inspection at the grassroots level is emphasized, self-reflection and self-correction are encouraged, and the role of Party organizations in preventing and stopping violations is promoted.

Fifth , more comprehensively and strongly implement mass work and work for the Vietnamese community in China. Continue to closely follow the direction and implement people's diplomacy and foreign information work, through specific activities such as building a Ho Chi Minh cultural space at the Embassy, promoting academic exchange programs, humanities, culture and arts, promoting the image of Vietnam as "independent, self-reliant, peaceful, cooperative, friendly, developed, prosperous, happy" to Chinese and international friends.

In the exciting atmosphere of actively competing to achieve achievements to welcome the Congress, the Vietnamese Party Committee in China would like to send the Congress our best wishes, believing that the Congress will be successful, opening a new development stage for foreign affairs, making worthy contributions to the victory of the 13th Congress's foreign policy, and entering a new era with the country.
