Dong Thap Provincial Women's Union: Coordinated visits and gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and disadvantaged children

(ABO) On July 4, the delegation of the Women's Union of Dong Thap province led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, coordinated with the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights led by former member of the Party Central Committee, former President of the Vietnam Women's Union, currently President of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa was the Head of the delegation, organizing activities to visit, show gratitude and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and children in difficult circumstances.

Accordingly, in Hoi Cu commune, the delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Loi, whose only child sacrificed his life in the resistance war for national independence.

The delegation kindly asked about Mother's health, listened to her share about her memories of the resistance war and her current life. The delegation also presented a gift of gratitude, expressing deep gratitude for Mother's great sacrifice for the cause of national liberation.

Leaders of Dong Thap Provincial Women's Union and leaders of Vietnam Association for Protection of Children's Rights visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

Next, the delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Duong Thi Chan, a typical mother of the river delta region of Hau My Bac B commune (now Hau My commune), a place with a tradition of patriotism and heroism in the resistance war.

The sincere words of encouragement, emotional eyes and tight hands of the Working Group and the Mothers are a living proof of gratitude and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" that today's generations always cherish and continue.

Along with the visit to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, the delegation also presented 12 bicycles and 50 gifts of nutritious milk to disadvantaged, studious children in Cai Be commune. The gifts gave the children the strength to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies and life.
