My Thien commune has a natural area of 62.59 km2 , population of 27,745 people. The People's Committee headquarters is located in My Tan commune (old), the Party Committee and Military headquarters are in Thien Trung commune (old), the Police headquarters is in My Trung commune (old).
Regarding facilities, the commune has arranged enough desks for officials, civil servants and part-time officials. However, the desks are old and damaged (due to being received from the old commune).
Regarding working computers, the staff and civil servants reused previously equipped computers. However, some of the computers were old, so they operated slowly and had errors. Some facilities were degraded. The commune did not have a public house for staff and civil servants to rest at noon (the house was far from the workplace).
During the initial period of operation, the commune encountered many difficulties such as the infrastructure conditions were not yet guaranteed and were degraded (due to being taken over from the old commune). There were still no specific instructions on the arrangement and assignment of part-time staff. Currently, the national public service is logged in by many people, so it is often logged out, so the submission of documents for people is still slow.
The civil status software is not yet synchronized, so the civil status registration file cannot be processed. For the time being, only the extracted file can be processed. The process of processing the file is still slow due to many steps.

The functions and tasks of the departments and offices are numerous but the staff allocation is small (37 staff positions were assigned, but currently the commune People's Committee has 36 staff positions). Some job positions do not ensure professional skills and expertise, especially the positions of chief accountant and network administrator.
At the meeting, the commune leaders recommended that the provincial departments, branches and sectors have plans to provide professional training for cadres and civil servants and provide guidance on regulations on Party building and the Vietnam Fatherland Front ; and support facilities to ensure the unit's operations.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen highly appreciated the efforts and responsibility of the collective leadership of the commune in the direction and management after the merger. The government apparatus was soon stabilized and operated in accordance with the policies and orientations of the superiors. The effective use of facilities, staff and existing resources has contributed to serving the common work in the locality well.
He requested the commune to continue promoting propaganda work, creating high internal unity and consensus among the people. This is an important factor for people to understand, share and accompany the government, especially in the initial stage of implementing the two-level government model.
Along with that, localities need to proactively grasp the situation, thoughts and aspirations of the people; improve the spirit and service attitude of cadres and civil servants; promote the role of the political system at the grassroots level being close to the people.
Regarding the preparation for the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen noted that localities need to develop documents that are tight and closely follow the practical situation; clearly identify the directions and key tasks for the coming term. In particular, it is necessary to focus on the stage of collecting comments on the draft Congress documents, ensuring the correct process, the right audience and promoting collective intelligence.
At the same time, the commune needs to continue to review and update the personnel situation to promptly supplement and improve according to regulations. The commune's proposals and recommendations will be considered and summarized to report to the Provincial Party Committee for timely resolution.
