Chairman of Cao Lanh Ward People's Committee Bui Quoc Nam said that Cao Lanh Ward was established on the basis of merging and consolidating 9 commune-level administrative units of Cao Lanh City; with a natural area of 73.33 km², the ward has 33,909 households and a population of 137,387 people.
The Ward People's Committee has studied and submitted to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee a plan to rename the hamlets and villages with three main contents. To avoid confusion, the ward will keep the names of 9 hamlets in Ward 1 (old) and 10 hamlets in Ward 3 (old), Hoa Thuan Ward (old). At the same time, the ward will rename 20 hamlets in the communes of Hoa An, Tan Thuan Tay, Tan Thuan Dong, Tinh Thoi (old) to hamlets to comply with current legal regulations. In addition, 10 hamlets in Ward 4 (old), Ward 6 (old) will be changed from being named by number to being named by place name, in accordance with the specific characteristics of each hamlet.

In addition, to best serve the people, the ward has arranged 1 main office and 5 sub-offices of the Public Administration Service Center at the old offices of the People's Committee of Ward 6, Tinh Thoi Commune, Hoa An Commune, Tan Thuan Tay Commune and Tan Thuan Dong Commune. In the first 4 days of operation, the Center received and processed more than 3,082 files, mainly in the field of judicial authentication; serving an average of more than 700 people/day and always ensure timely resolution and return of results to the people.
In addition, the Center has also received and completed processing 1 content reflecting and recommending administrative procedures in the land sector; at the same time, provided 30 phone consultations on the status of people's records.

The number of individuals and businesses coming to transact has increased sharply, including many types of administrative procedures that are not on the list such as confirmation of legal residence, confirmation of court testimony, confirmation of credit fund loan records, confirmation of family deductions, confirmation of cremation, confirmation of household in difficult circumstances to reduce tuition fees, hospital fees, sentence reduction and labor export records" - Comrade Bui Quoc Nam added.
